P6 ACCA... and rubbish text book

    Hi All,

I am qualified with AITI and am slowly working through ACCA exams (1 every six months). I left P6 until the end so I could have a handy time of it.

I got my text book and after reading it I have noticed (so far) 56 errors, some are as trivial as having the wrong year in the text, e.g. 2008 instead of 2009. However some are shocking, e.g. charging the income levy on income subject to DIRT, applying BIK charges on C02 emissions (subject to Min. Order), applying leasing of farmland exemption for rent > €15k (subject to EU approval) etc.

I've had enough now. I paid €89 for this rubbish book because I had to get an Irish varient whereas in the past I imported the books for the UK and paid roughly £40.

I am writing to them to complain but I wonder what the outcome will be???

Hi, I agree with you on the ACCA P6 text being rubbish. Ive found loads of errors in it also.

I was wondering is there any alternative text which would be better or is this the only option?
