    Often on this forum there are threads of about Ireland having a poor scene and not being a patch on bands/scenes abroad.

    This is just not the case. The following article written by Nialler9 on the Drowned in Sound site showcases a number of these bands and should serve as an excellent entry point for anyone looking to get into Irish bands or indeed expand their knowledge of Irish bands.

    Included are bands, individuals and collectives all making great music, and playing gigs any given day in cities and towns around Ireland.
