Could WWE out do TNA's X division?

One of the best things about TNA has always been the X Division. Now at the moment its getting lost a bit in the mix, but they've always had the talent regardless of the booking.

While jerking off over cruiserweights on the internet is beyond a cliche, if ever there was an opportunity for WWE to equal TNA's X-Division, this is it, given the talent they have at their disposal.

    Daniel Bryan.(Bryan Danielson).
    Kaval.(Low Ki)
    Evan Bourne.
    Rey Mysterio.
    Justin Gabriel.
    Hart Foundation.
    John Morrison.
    Kofi Kingston.
    R Truth.

Pretty nice collection of high fliers/cruisers there.

    VS

    Jeff Hardy
    AJ Styles.
    MCMG.
    Generation Me.
    Jay Lethal.
    Bryan Kendrick.
    Kazarian.
    Doug Williams.
    Amazing Red.

    Which would be better?

Theoretically yes given the skills of the likes of Danielson, Ki and Mysterio etc, but in reality we know that it just will not happen. Not now, not ever.

I was actually think how good we have it nowadays with the level of talent both companies have at their disposal. If only the aforementioned list of wrestlers could be used better, we would be ina golden age.

Exactly. WWE actually have an impressive "X-D" but they'll never let them wrestle to the standard to which they are capable. It's a formula they've always used, where the main event talent wrestles better (in general) so the crowd believe them to be the best wrestlers on the card. WWE don't have spot-fests -- outside those money in the bank matches -- but they always tell their wrestlers to work at maybe ~30% of what they're capable.

So, TNA (who do let their X-D talents shine sometimes) will always have better X-D matches. That said, Hogan and Bischoff have all but outlawed X-Division spot-fests...although right now the Guns are getting more air time :) On the plus side for WWE, they can have more mat-based psychology-employing wrestling matches (i.e. enjoyable, not spot-fest matches).

    TNA
I'm seaking theoretcially of course. Which division could be better on paper? Sure WWE don't even have or haven't had a cruiser belt in donkeys' years. Basically who has the better high fliers. It has been TNA for a long time, but WWE have caught up recently IMO.

In that case i would still say TNA have the better division. It has more depth than WWE. Of their list I would only happily sit down to watch Bourne, Dragon, Ki, Kingston and Rey, while I would happily watch all of your listed TNA lads.

If WWE's high-flyers put on a show where they were told to wrestle as best as they possibly could (ROH-style), and TNA too, I'd much rather see WWE's. Danielson/Kaval/Mysterio/Bourne? Definitely spooge-tastic. With TNA we've seen almost everyone wrestle high-octane matches already, WWE's stars are mostly untapped in the mainstream.

Imagine if Danielson and Kaval were told to go out and steal the show in a 30-minute match? The rest of the roster would look like crap and be ashamed!

A small point but i wouldn't count Hardy and AJ to be X-D wrestlers, they're main-eventers. Mysterio too I guess

    TNA
Yeah its the freshness and unique matches on the WWE list that swung it for me. probably unfair on the TNA lads, but that division is stale as f*ck. Otherwise there's nothing in it.

With the current state of the X-Division they probably could but they'll never be given the chance. Though that WWE list lacks someone as awesome as Douglas Williams. Plus you left out Shark Boy flah. In terms of talent though I'd side with TNA, the likes of Truth, Kofi and Gabriel don't really match up to those in TNA.

I think both promotions are strong in this department but as has been pointed out already, the manpower is not the issue here.

    TNA
I would say WWE. The likes of Alberto Del Rio and Chavo Guerrero could be mentioned on the WWE side too.

If TNA gets any bit bigger than they are now, WWE will use the X Division Title once they buy out TNA and want to sell X Division DVDs

    TNA
WWE has the better mix of technical and high flying which equals big winner for me.. I've said this a few times before, but i honestly thinka fued involving Danielson/Kaval/Bourne has the potential to be Angle/Benoit/Jericho 2010

I left out jobbers and people that irritate me greatly like Eric Young.:pac:
