Big 2 day mission starting New Years Day

Guys, I intend start a Domination or even ranked Evo with as many targets as possible starting a 12.00 noon Sat 1st Jan. It'll be combined ops and will most likely be on Takistan for best performance. I'm gonna set it persistent so We can come and go as We please and the mission continues overnight to the next day. I wanna make it as difficult as possible with maximum armour so that it takes 2 days to clear.

Ok, who's on?
Can we get all the old players back? Cheese? Kenon? Promac? Infamous?

Yeah, but thats guaranteed to be bugged to shít, he never fixes the bugs, just moves on to porting to the next map. Xeno has most of the bugs fixed in Domi. I know we've played the hell out of it and it gets repeditive, but it would be epic with a good crew. Everyone knows the ins and outs of it too.

Edit; no harm in trying it out before hand, that fallujah map is awesome

Just said I'd pop on today to see how the old Arma crew were doing, it's good to see everyone still around. Haven't booted up my desktop in around 6 months or more I'd say. Will try and get updated and get on Jan 1/2 to join ye's but work might get in the way. Has much gone on in Armaworld lately?

Lots, the game has got so much better, its constantly evolving and is absolutely amazing at the moment. Check out the JSRS and WarFx Blastcore mods, that'll get You back for more.

Time to decide what we're playing and on what map. We need something with 20 or so main targets, with side missions, recaptures, base attacks etc. That Lingor Domi only goes to 12 main targets, we'd need more

After a play around with ranked Domi on Takistan, Myself and Jigsaw decided it just wasn't hard enough, we pissed through the first main target no bother with limited weapons. We then tried ranked Evo on Takistan with everything at max difficulty and it looks like the best thing to play. Plenty to kill and very hard. Got raped by an Su in the first few minutes.

All OK with that?
It means no mods are needed, Takistan should run good for everyone and looks awesome.

Ok, ranked Evo OA Takistan it is.

No mods are needed. Its best not to run any mods You don't need, turn off extra maps and don't run Ace as it will cause problems for others. I'm only running the jsrs mods (E,V,VW and W) and WarFx (Blastcore and tracers only) to enhance game, these are fine and make some good vids and screenies. I'm expecting a thread full of fraps videos, so get that setup to save to another drive

Can everyone Join today at some stage to get the mission file so the server doesn't have to upload it while joining, its running on the server at the moment. Also get Mumble sorted, details in the sticky, login and test it works

Mission starts on 1/1/11 @ 11:11:11ish

I struggle to play with fraps which makes taking footage of gunshot kills nearly impossible as everything lags. Mumble mutes my ingame sounds everytime I use it, fraps doesn't record my mic.

I had to get OA it took a good while to download it yesterday off Sprocket (Cheers Pog), just gettin a patch now should be on soon for a while until my PC crashes.

It was a good couple of days on the server.

Some good teamwork and decent missions. Hopefully there'll be more of this in the future.

I got a bit too drunk to play yest eve, its hard to shoot when u see 2 enemies

Theres a version called kdedit, it allows the chinook to lift tanks.

and possibly allows crewman to call in a linebacker from the commander <didnt test this>
