    Hi Aidan

If your charity is a limited company either with share capital or limited by guarantee and not having a share capital then it must be audited and and accounts must be filed with the companies registration office by a certain time.

If you want me to check your charity for you please send me the following details by private message

    Charity Name
    CRO No: (if any)
    CHY No:

only if you want me to check for you

    Hope this helps

    Hi "sandyhills"

It is a registered Charity in the UK, but now has an Irish Website ( .ie ) and describes itself as a "Non Profit-Charity" .

When you click to purchase anything, it diverts you to their UK Website. I don't know if there is a Register in Ireland of Charities. As regards to the website, I always understood that you could not have a ".ie" unless you were a registered company in Ireland, but maybe i am wrong.

It makes it difficult to compete against them.

    Regards

    Aidan

There is no Register of Charities in Ireland at the moment but there is due to be one set up in the next year, charities act was passed in 2009. If the charity is a registered company in the uk you can log onto the companies house in the uk and download their accounts. they might have just set up a branch in Ireland and registered a business name. if you want to pm me with the name of the charity I can have a look on the Companies Registration Office for you
