I am not sure if this is the right section to be posting in but here goes. Just moved to the area and need a good gym to continue training in. Somewhere that aint too busy as I would normally be in it at peak times (5-7pm) and preferrably within 2/3 miles of the region so I could run to it and back instead of driving. I know about Total Fitness and Deer Park Hotel and I seem to be concentrating on these. Anyone know anything about these or any other gyms of note? Thanks

I live in Baldoyle myself and the only GYM close to both areas i know of are total fitness you have mentioned and another GYM out in Malahide but you won't be running that far.

Theres also a gym in Kilbarrack aboove the shopping centre thats never too busy, no pool but they have 5 - 6 threadmill a few cross trainers and bikes and a great free weights section, they do a pay as you go membership which is €15 a week so wouldnt be too expensive to try it out, a few friends train there and I join them from time to time never left waiting for weight benches or anything

If it is not too far from Baldoyle try Slenderhealth in Raheny Village. It has been going for nearly 30 years and is very good. Balydoyle to Raheny and back will give you a good run too. And there is also the health club in Fairview beside Clontarf Dart Staton. It is very good.
