Are all the sub forums really needed? i.e Advice & Horse Racing?

They have little activity, both the sub forms above have 2010 post on the first page, as does this main forum. Horse Racing posts seem to be let live in this forum and not moved to the Horse Racing form which may generate traffic, same goes for 'Advice' forum which sees little or no traffic week on week.

Repatriating the Horse Racing & Advice sub forums backing into the Gambling main form would make a lot of sense.

I agree entirely, never saw the need for a sub-forum except for logs/blogs.

Sorry if I'm hi-jacking your thread but it seems the most appropriate place.I was wondering would it be possible to have to request access to view challenges/log section. Its fairly obvious that some bookies are looking in and dropping prices when certain people make selections. By giving access to regular posters it could be eliminated.

PP employee can be a boards.ie member and make a perfectly valid request for access.

Yes but access for regular posters or something, I dunno maybe it would not work just a thought

I don't see how the sub-forums are a bad thing, tbh. There's definately a need for the logs one, because there are plenty of active threads on there. Having separate football and horse racing forums is better, imo because there will be a good few soccer gamblers that don't follow horse racing and vice versa so threads that may be important to said posters might get knocked down a few pages and they could miss it.

It's hardly that much of an inconvenience for you to click the mouse just once more to go into a sub-forum?

I don't think the Horse racing one is really necessary. There is a horse racing forum and I know there's a football forum, but people discuss football over there without referring to betting, betting is the most important discussion part of horse racing really,so it gets more acknowledgement over there without it being necessary there.
