Thongs were originally designed for titillation purposes - I see them as for sexy-time, which is all good, but not as functional underwear (apart from when getting your muff waxed). They're chilly in this weather and they go up your arse-crack and that is not hygienic. Don't like big knickers either though. An in-between (:pac:) is what I tend to opt for for everyday wear - bikini briefs/high-leg knicks ftw. Or those "wide" thongs (as opposed to a bit of string up the bum).
