    http://uk.lifestyle.yahoo.com/family-parenting/educational-inappropriate-let-daughter-breastfeed-doll-article-ez4w.html

    THIS IS BEYOND MESSED UP:eek:

A new doll product has been released to the toy market which is designed to simulate breastfeeding. The Breast Milk Baby is a doll which has a mouth which replicates that of a breast feeding baby. The toy also comes with a bib which has flowers on it to indicate the nipple area, so the youngster using the doll can simulate breastfeeding against it. When held to the breast the doll makes suckling noises. It also cries if it isn't burped after it has been fed.

Makers of The Breast Milk Baby claim that their new doll allows children to experience the 'magic of motherhood'. The doll is packaged as an educational toy, designed to encourage more women to turn to breastfeeding naturally when they reach childrearing age, and the company's website claims that "little girls need to learn to breastfeed." It continues: "The Breast Milk Baby represents a revolution in design by teaching children the nurturing skills they'll need to raise their own healthy babies."

However parents around the world have spoken out in anger over the toy, which they have slammed as 'totally inappropriate'.

A comment on a New York Daily News article about the doll read: 'Why would a little girl need to learn how to breast-feed before she has breasts? Before she goes through puberty? This is another disgusting example of forcing adulthood on our children decades before they're ready to absorb it.'

The range of six dolls are available in both sexes and a range of different ethnicities, retailing for $99 each

This would be better marketed as the Angelina Jolie playset.

i think its a crazy price to be paying for a doll when they can 'breastfeed' a €30 one.

The outraged parents around the world are being silly.

Surely owning a fake baby is in itself forcing adulthood onto girls by that logic.

Can you get an adult woman version of the doll that also has the same mouth suction function?

Why have so many things lately actually warranted the phrase "blast it with piss"

It's about as outrageous as a toy car and a lot less so than a toy gun. I've seen lots of kids breastfeeding their dolls and none of them cost 99 quid.

Girls aged 0-12: Oh look, play with this doll and pretend you are a mammy

Girls aged 12-20: DONT GET PREGNANT!!!

    Meh.

Pretty harmless if you ask me - my kids have loads of dolls that shíte, cry, píss and puke so I think this is only a version of this. So long as they don't go feeding hamsters to it I don't see a problem.

I'd read about this and apparently it encourages teenage pregnancy as well.

    Wtf?

Better not have any baby dolls then!
