Presumably Dublin? Would be good to see more coffee options on Henry st... stiff competition from 3fe on middle abbey st though!

Dublin be the place alright. Maybe the best place to get a business off the ground in these times

Ah thats a pity, thought when you were tagged in waterford you were opening here. Wouldnt mind a cafe that opened past 5.30 rather then having to go to a pub for coffee.

Well I wish you the best of luck! Do tell if you get set up :-)

Just a note on the food:
My biggest problem when looking for somewhere for coffee is whoever I've got with me. A lot of the food listed on your survey was sweet-tooth sort of stuff, whereas when I'm looking for something to eat with my coffee/tea it's rare that the person with me wants something sweet too. I'd definitely add a salad/rabbity food option, and maybe a toasted sandwich/panini option. If your on Henry St. you'll have the Epicurean to compete with, so it would be a shame to miss out on customers because they're with someone who's looking for something else.

I'm not really much of a cafe kinda person at all. Never really in them.

Was in one when in Lanzarote two years ago though. The place was filled with Irish people (we were there for a wedding, so I knew of most of them). Anyway, I don't know if it was the good weather that would have any affect on this kinda thing, but it seemed that quite literally everyone was buying toasted ham and cheese sandwiches.

They tasted lovely, and went down really well with the tea. Just thought I'd say it as an idea, as I never really hear of people buying them over here anywhere (again, not sure if its a good weather thing, or just a lack of cafes providing the option?).

Personally, if you're going down the route of the sweet tooth, a regular old jam doughnut goes a long way. A good thing about those as well is; pop up to Tesco, Buy 20 for €3 and sell them for 50c each. Stock them for a month, and see how they sell. Worst case scenario, you're down €12 and you'll know for sure if they're worth bothering with. Best case scenario, €7 profit for every €3 spent.

Sounds like a worthy risk/reward balance. Just make sure you hide the Tesco bags :P

Oh, and don't give ceramic cups to people leaving the store. It'll cost you a fortune and most likely result in smashed cups all over the place. Not sure if I read wrong, but I wasn't sure if that was what you were thinking originally.

It was only to find out if PPL are comfortable using paper cups if sitting in KKV, i.e. if people prefer an O'Brien's environment or a Starbucks one where its all paper cups.

P.S. set up seems to be going well at the mo :)

I'm not sure why but I generally prefer coffee from a paper cup.

Perhaps I'm used to using the lid to scoop out the foam and sit there licking it like a mong.
