Anyone disappointed at a lack of naked Elle MacPherson?

It's all ready being fast tracked for a US based remake, Denis Leary is behind the US version.

This started tonight.. and I completely forgot about it.

My gauge for these things is typically Twitter and things seems quite mixed on there.

People were confused as to whether it was a drama or a comedy, with a comparison to 'Teachers' coming up most often (so "dram-edy essentially, although I always thought 'Teachers' leaned firmly towards comedy - in later series especially).

If it's even a quarter as good as Teachers, I'll watch it.. but I'm holding out much hope.

Might give the repeat a watch..

Ta, but a fan of 4OD at all.

    Will wait for the repeat.

Just watched it on the UPC box.

Thought it was weak enough, the characters were likeable but the comedy elements didn't really do it for me, and any element at drama or pathos was handled very clumsily.

It was decent, without being too strong.

I've seen far worse comedy-drama's from Channel 4.

    Could definitely improve with time.

I recommended this show at the top of this forum having only seen the last twenty minutes of episodes one and two, because it seemed genuinely fresh stuff.

I've since caught up with it via 4oD and it feels like a cross between a Carry On film, and Teachers (which I liked). The obsession with "shagging", close-ups of peoples pants and the indie music for every scene make it feel a decade old though.

However, the Stuart and Maxine characters (Rhys Thomas and Amy Beth Hayes) seem quite interesting and will keep me watching.

But any more grubby pants-sniffing, and I'm outta there.

The first episode was moderately entertaining.. but the second was a yawn!

The only reason I'm tuning in. KING IN THE NORTH.

Watched the first two on 4oD last night.

Really enjoyed them. Advert I saw for it gives you a completely false impression of what the genre and tone of the show is for the most part.

You can always check out Misfits series 1 episode 2 if you want to see more of Sgt Maxine. ;)

    This too shall pass.

I thought it was pretty good.

Sirens was excellent, if Channel 4 is going down the route of American Networks then we can forget about programmes like Misfits and The Inbetweeners ever being made in the future.

Staying up late, watching films on Channel 4 in the 90s, hoping for some boob. Ah memories.

Edit : Oh wait, this isn't that? :o
