Just wondering , an order from Amazon arrived the other day - shipped by An Post. Wouldn't the order have to have been shipped from Ireland in order to use An Post ? I wasn't ever aware that Amazon had a base in the Republic. Anyone have any more info ?:)

    Thanks

    Rockin

Yet they still make us spend over £25 before we get free shipping!

There are a lot of Irish based sellers who sell as third party sellers on the site, so that might explain it. The company itself don't have a recognised fulfillment centre here, just their call centre in Cork and a recently acquired space in Dublin that is used as a data centre. There is a chance they might have a very small distribution outlet somewhere here, but I have never heard of it.

It will be shipped from the UK, and delivered by An Post here. That's why they say delivery is with An Post, because that's who delivers it. The shipment originates with Royal Mail.
