    My dad was not going to die from cancer

    I was happy at the time but in hindsight it was the very best news I ever got...

    We argue like pigs at times but always make it up...I'm lucky to have him.

    Same here. Best news I got was when my mum got the all clear from the big C. I was young and never understood the term 'it was a weight off my shoulders' until that moment.

    Passing my driving test was a big one for me, I was over the moon that day.

    Went straight home and opened the bottle of bubbly in the fridge - I figured I'd either be celebrating or commiserating that day anyway so it was a safe bet to chill something!

    Not so much news but awoke from a kidney removal operation with a 30% success rate, but my specialist told me it went well so kind of good news, best I've ever heard anyway :D:D

    that a lump on my right ball was just the epidymis, a tubular enlargement that all men have on their testiclès... it was well worth the mild embarrassment of having a family member check it out.

    I count myself lucky enough to have had lots of 'good news days' but that issue had worried me so much, it was undoubtedly the best piece of good news I've received.

    Oh, and also when my mate told me BOI were offering free money at their ATMs.
