A woman got wood, thats original.

    Edit :

I actually remember when iPad's came out a woman had queued for hours to get her iPad. But had forgot to get a pregnancy test, after telling one of her friends, was told that there was an app that was a pregnancy test, an would tell her if she was pregnant, sure enough, she went the jax an pissed on her shinny new iPad, breaking it pretty much instantly. But then had the balls to bring it back to the shop an tell them it was like that when she bought it.

Women shouldn't be allowed to have things like this.

Remember the Nintendo Wii craze in the run-up to christmas a few years ago? Some people tried buying them online and received blocks of wood, packaged in Nintendo Wii boxes. That would make for a sad christmas if they hadn't checked the contents before wrapping it.

i used to work in baldoyle industrial estate about 8-9 years ago, the lads from a neighbouring building had one of of their lads come in and inform us to be on the look out for 2 men selling cheap phones from a white transit van. 2 lads working there bought said phones for 100 euro each and when the boxes were opened they each contained a mars bar.

Well, she agreed to buy it from two shady people on the street trying to sell "ipads" in bulk, so she deserved it, really

she was at the McDonald’s at Hearon Circle at about 8 p.m. Monday when she was approached by two men trying to sell her an iPad or laptop computer.

    Good enough for her

If it was a real iPad it was likely to be stolen property and she wouldn't have gone to the police about her new bargain

People buying these cheap products know well it might be hot but don't care once they save money.
    Deserve to be scammed tbh

No, just because they were selling brand new ipads on the street for a third of their retail price. Would you honestly treat anyone with this sort of a "deal" with anything other than suspicion?

That's not a bad carving of an iPad, but I'm astounded they honestly thought this trick would work.
I'm even more astounded that it actually DID work.

I was offered a 'cheap laptop' on the car park of nutgrove shopping centre in Dublin about 2 years ago. Just said no and walked away. Yer man even tried to push the sale and followed me for a good 5 meters saying it was a great deal. Yes, great deal for him! I would've ended up with a brand new argos catalog!

Woman buys iPad, turns out to be made of wood.

Moral of the story: The Apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
