I still might buy it. It is a big upgrade from my 3GS and I've been waiting forever for a phone with 64GB of storage, I was just hoping for more. It's the iphone 4S or a Samsung Galaxy S II and I get to keep all my apps itunes library etc, with the 4S.

Hey, RAM ??? I didnt see anything mentioned about it

I'd say it's the same, they'd only brag if it had more than what the S2 or Sensation has.

Sure they didn't even state the clock speed of the A5 in the 4s.

The new Androids out in a few weeks will have 1.5Ghz dual cores.

Can't have imagined Jobs turning out the mess that was today.

So who else is not interested in it? I really don't think it's worth an update for me personally anyways. The speed of the 4 is fine for me, not that pushed about gaming or about the voice speaking interesting though it is so I'm going to sit pretty with mine I think.
    Very disappointed.

With all the complaining, there are some nice improvements.

If it had a wider screen and new form factor and was called 5 I wonder what people would be saying.

    Increased processor, battery and storage.

    Better camera and functions.

    Better battery life.

    Siri.

    Ios 5 on way.

    What more do people want?

If i was Phil i wouldn't taken to the stage for an announcement like that!

Every year Jobs had something new, this is just a disappointment

With the Galaxy S2 you get 16Gb on board and can add another 64Gb with an SD card. You can use all your iTunes music on the S2.

There is an app counterpart on Android for just about every major one on App store, plus there are more free apps on Android and good free ones at that.

I use Apple and Android products all the time, you are missing out on nothing with Android while gaining more options than with iOS.

Yes sheeple, whatever you do make sure you buy the best iPhone out there and not the best phone, because that would be silly.

This is more a shot at their strategy rather than the 4S. They're now selling three generations of iPhones all in configs and prices that are very un-apple/Jobs like in terms of product stratigraphy. The name 4S is a poor choice also.

On my iPhone, the apps I use are:
safari, mail, messages, phone, and maybe one or two that i go through phases of. I don't need more options, I just want my stuff to work!

The Galaxy S II doesn't support SDXC cards, no phone yet released does, only SDHC which has a maximum capacity of 32GB.

Hmmm, that was all a bit meh. Its pretty clear they couldn't get new hardware working well in time, maybe those battery issues with bigger screen or the screen supply issues that were rumoured earlier in the year?

If you have the iPhone 4 then iOS 5 should be enough to keep you going until the 5 actually arrives, prob next June.

If you have a 3G or 3GS it's worth the upgrade, except if the iPhone 5 is to come early to mid next year why not hold out until then?

Would imagine this will play badly for Apple with 'the markets' and the media in general.

The only useful thing i see is the 64gb option. I wonder if it will be €800 sim free here. If it is then LOL f*ck that ****. An ipod touch and iphone 4 used would be cheaper

Very disappointed..ah well I can dump my contract to go pre-pay while still hanging onto my 4.
Roll on windows mobile 8...couldn't be bothered with android as I've used it and not that impressed with it..
I'm eager to see if MS will bridge the gap between PC/phone and console...I'd switch in a heartbeat then.

I agree with that 100%, I had the iPhone 2, 3g, 3gs and 4. I gave the 4 to my misses to give the galaxy s2 and I haven't gone back. It does everything the 4 did + more. I can't go back to the iPhone 4, seems old and slow to me. I'm honestly more interested in Samsungs new releases than apples. Apples innovation has slowed right down this year...

People seem to be disappointed because it's more or less the same specs as the SII and that's been on the market since May.
