After a power on and off the Enter pin code changed to 1, it was 3. Can I change it back. Previously I wasn't getting any coverage. Any advice.

what do you mean? its only giving you 1 more chance to enter the right pin code?

when you get a new sim you have a choice of three numbers. I picked the third one. Its only supposed to ask you for that. Now its asking for the first number which I don't know. I doubt I have that bit of paper anymore.

Before that I got no reception.

im not really sure what you mean. maybe something ive not seen before. what network are you with. do you mean different pin1/pin2/puk1/puk2 numbers? or different phone numbers?

or are these codes for the phone itself?

I'm with 02. Its the code that you enter when the phone is turned on to gain access to it.

Its ok now, went to an 02 store. I must have confused my bank pin with my phone pin.
