ive noticed anytime theres some "extreme" weather (floods, snow) it can never handle the traffic. how many people do they think actually care about their regular ****ing traffic reports with the same roads backed up every day. i really wish they could cater for when it would be most useful for it to be working!

Pretty crazy out there - my girlfriend got the 5.20 bus to Naas from Kildare St and as of now she has just about reached the Poitin Stil!

Over one month's worth of rain has fallen in the past 24 hours at Casement Aerodrome according to the Met Office.

Oh my god! Your poor girlfriend. She must be so bored.

    If I get the 9.35, I'm looking at 1am, before I reach town. :(

I'd keep an eye on AA Roadwatch if I were you - it sounds like it may be impassible in spots. The website is up and down but you can get updates here.

Apparently the N4 to Lucan, then Celbridge - Clane - Sallins and into Naas is passable right now.

My partner is stuck on the N7 just passed junction 7 flyover city bound.
She left Naas at 7 PM. From what I am hearing the road is completely impassable. It could be a long night...

Any word on a diversion in place or anything?

If she's passed Rathcoole she should be ok,the worst of it seems to be before there.
