Question about ebay cancelation

    Hi,

    Bought an iphone on ebay last week it arrived in monday. All was good had one the auction item was as described with everything that comes with it and seems to be working great. Left the seller positive feedback. Then the seller email me and asked if I could do him a favor. This was before I left positive feedback I assumed this was probably what he wanted but after I had left feedback he said he needed to get fees back from ebay and wanted to send me a cancellation form and would I hit yes on the form. Now I've paid for the item and I have at but cancel the form? Is this scamming ebay or something or would this mean since the seller accepted returns if i later had a problem with the item I wouldn't be able to return it. What should I be doing here?

    wow this is a first for me gosh its amazing what people will do

    id say dont submit anything this is surly a scam and if something went wrong your left empty handed as you cant file for a refund

    i would report this to ebay if i were you

    This is a new one
    Report him to ebay and paypal
    Basically if you done this he would get his fees that he paid returned to him and you would have no warranty on the phone

    Thanks for the help guys. Rejected the cancellation as if i didn't ebay policy is it is valid within a week. And emailed ebay. Wasn't sure if I wanted to report him as it wasn't really skin of my nose if he was trying to scam ebay out of fees. But it would have to affect buyer protection for future buyers. Hopefully that the end of it now for me. Ebay can follow it up if they want I'm not really interest in being involved past this. Busy enough without any hassle. Cheers for the help.
