Given that you're aiming for the new year, perhaps post back in two weeks. Prices might shift a little with the new graphics cards being released. There may be sales, although this is unusual for most PC hardware.

Re: Laser. That limits your options a fair bit. What about bank transfers? Hardwareversand, one of the cheapest places with a wide selection takes transfers (this is the standard for Germany, credit cards aren't as popular).

Two I know of and have used are elara.ie and komplett.ie. Elara are fairly dear. Komplett can be expensive too but good deals show up now and again, plus the have free delivery.

Memoryc.com take laser too and they're excellent for RAM but that's about it.

Edit:

Here's a rough outline of what you could get. Komplett's sit is so damn slow at the moment that I'm not clicking on each item to compare.

Over budget, but €10 can probably be saved by getting RAM from memoryc. PSU selection isn't good on komplett, so maybe a cheaper on can be found elsewhere (note: do not buy a bad quality PSU!).

Looks like pixmania also take laser. They sometimes have good stuff but their shipping costs can be steep and the often sell rubbish.

I heard rumours that dabs take laser, but heard mixed stories. Same with amazon.co.uk. Having a maestro logo =/> accepting laser.

Edit 2: By =/> I mean, does not imply.

i thought that all laser car
ds are linked to bank accounts. its really no trouble to do a bank transfer. i used one of the card machines at the bank today. took about five min with double and triple checking everything.

I've used them a few times, and haven't had any problems. I've also had to return a couple of items, and they were quick about it. Only slight trouble I had was the first time I ordered from them. Threw a quick build together. To be honest, Monotype's build is the better choice - much better CPU if you're going to be overclocking - however, in the event that you're not, mine has a slightly (about 10%) more powerful graphics card.

No HDD included in that. Same with the HWVS build above :P. If you are able to do a Bank Transfer it will be much more worth your while going with Hardwareversand.de. Bank Transfer is a very safe way of paying and loads of people(myself included), have used them with no problems.

Ah, knew I was forgetting something. I had a 64Gb SSD in the basket but removed it with the intent to add a HDD, I forgot.
Anyway, if you plan on going with that build here is a good hard drive.

Its an i5-3570k, it's basically an ivy bridge version of the i5-2500k which is a sandy bridge.

May i suggest a z77 motherboard chipset, asus and gigabyte have released quite cheap ones lately.

Furthermore a coolermaster 212 evo is a good fan for the money.

These are just my suggestions, take a look and see what you think.

Overall, for gaming a graphics card is the penultimate component, for your budget, an nvidia gtx 560 ti is a good choice, if your willing to spend a bit more, take a look at the ati radeon 6000 series, there more or less the same (the ati's will have more onboard ram)

You absolutely do not need an 850W PSU.
Also that's an oldish (low end) graphics card.
RAM is usually cheaper on memoryc.com.
