Im interested in one of these....but having never had one...and compareing the specs to a laptop ....wouldnt this be too slow to really do anything more then be a larger version of my android phone?.......

For example.....how high quality video can it play?........can it run a browser.....and will that run facebook games......like...evony for example?

For example...if i get an epad...will it download and play anything bell 720p.......will it play any facebook game?

    No it's not.

I have one. They're great. But honestly, i'd be looking at it as a large phone rather than a very portable laptop being honest.

The screen can't even display HD, so it's a waste of time, i don't have any HD movies on mine, so i'm not too sure how well they play.

Just checked my touchpad there. And it plays 720p flash without issue. Although mine is overclocked, which undoubtedly makes a big difference.

But again, there's literally no point in it.

They are great. Great tablets that is.

If you need a tablet, they're top notch. If you don't need a tablet however there's no point in buying one. They're excellent for light gaming, browsing, HD video or PDF reading. There's also the hundreds of thousands of Android applications available as well. Flash video and flash games work great as well, just bear in mind that most flash games are designed with a mouse and keyboard in mind. The only problem is that actually finding a Touchpad is nigh on impossible. It was difficult enough back when HP cut the price but finding a Touchpad for less than €250 now is going to be tough.

One thing I noticed though... your thread title says "Touchpad" but you mention "Epad" in your actual post. There's a massive difference between the two. The HP Touchpad is a high quality and well-specced tablet that's capable of running Android whereas an "Epad" is a bargain bucket nightmare. If you're set on getting a tablet make sure you get something decent.

I have one. They're excellent. But actually, i'd be looking at it as a big cellphone rather than a very transportable notebook computer being sincere.
The display can't even present HD, so it's a pointless, i don't have any HD films on my own, so i'm not too sure how well they have fun with.

we,r talkin bout a 150 quid present here though..........im not buyin the dearest thing.....just wondering how an epad compares with a laptop {2.1 ghz dual core with 4GB ram and WIN7)

can they do the same things in terms of flash games and media without freezing up?

What do you mean by epad? If you mean HP Touchpad as per your title then yes it can handle flash games and hd video and then some.

If you're talking about an actual "epad" however they can hardly handle SD video let alone flash or web browsing.

Are you talking about this? http://www.epad.ie/epad.html

If so, then absolutely no way.

There is no tablet out there that's going to be able to match a laptop like the one you've mentioned. They are completely different.

A HP touchpad will do the thiings you mention without issue. But the EPad absolutely will not, judging by the video on the site, it can barely run angry birds!
