Does anyone have any book recommendations for Game Theory, introductory in nature?

    Thanks.

Ken Binmore's Game Theory: A Very Short Introduction (OUP: 2007 - ISBN 9780199218462) is a good, not very formal, starting point. Binmore is a mathematical economist who wrote one of the standard textbooks on game theory back in the early 1990s (now out of print).

Many of the leading books on game theory are written by economists. A widely used textbook is Avinash Dixit, Susan Skeath & David Reiley Games of Strategy (3rd ed., Norton: 2010 - ISBN 9780393117516), though it's expensive (priced as a university textbook), and not always clearly written. Dixit has authored a more "popular" version with Barry Nalebuff, The Art of Strategy: A Game Theorist's Guide to Success in Business and Life (Norton: 2008 - ISBN 9780393062434), which at least has the virtue of being cheaper.

I hope that someone else can suggest books on game theory from a mathematician's rather than an economist's perspective.
