Still learning on the job. Matched very easily thus far, but has a lot of potential.

He's going absolutely nowhere imo. Sure he has the height, reach, speed and power needed at the very top, which is how he managed to get himself an Olympic medal. But his defence is terrible, his chin is highly questionable and he seems to lack the heart for a scrap. Very uncomfortable when he's pushed backwards.

There's a reason his opposition has been so appallingly bad to date and it's that they don't trust him to come through hard tests. He should have been matched tougher all the same though, put him in with durable guys with a reasonable skill level but little power and maybe pick a few out of shape guys so he can out last them if he has to. Instead they've thrown him scrubs he can just blow away and it's doing no one any good.

His next fight is scheduled against a 5'9 natural Middleweight who hasn't fought in almost 4 1/2 years and has never boxed as a Heavyweight before. I don't see the point in this match up, he's not going to learn anything, at best this likely 1 round blow out will get a brief mention and get shown on HBO, but even that won't do much for him considering the opposition.

Wouldn't hold much hope for him being a great HW champ, or a HW champ at all actually, maybe if he fights some guys that could actually be classed as decent opponents and wins well he can start to be considered someone to look out for, but as of now he is being matched with guys who have no chance of beating him, who knows how much heart he has? I'd suspect he is lacking in it though, and his defense looks weak.

He has the right lines of form to go far compared to what is on this side of the Atlantic

Untested, doesn't look great technically, physically has most of the tools needed to do well but I'd be very surprised if he amounted to something.

He's like the black Tyson Fury, not great technically and awkward to boot.

Perez, Boytsov, Mitchell, and Price would all spark him.

His opposition has been awful thus far! Can't judge him till we seen him in with a higher rank guy. His Chin def looks suspect.

I doubt very much if any of the british heavies would trouble mike perez with the exception of price

I'd like to see him fight someone with a pulse.

Might be just another black hope/dope.

Audley Harrison p next for Wilder. Fights on the undercard of the Amir Khan Julio Diaz fight on April 27th.

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/othersports/boxing/9972666/Deontay-Wilder-vows-to-eat-Audley-Harrison-on-UK-debut-on-undercard-of-Amir-Khan-bout-in-Sheffield.html

Could be the man to finally end old Audley's career once and for all.

I'd sooner go down to my own club and watch the kids spar than that pair to be honest.

Well he didn't do much of it against Haye did he? He's not called "Fraudley" for no reason.

What has that got to do with the price of anything. He won't be fighting Haye. Will he?

He's done absolutely nothing but fight scrubs so far. His best win is Kelvin Price.

Yeah in fairness to him he looks like a beast but his opponents seem to be getting fatter and slower with each fight. Watched a YouTube video of his tenth or eleventh fight yesterday and then went to one of his last fights and the two opponents were both as bad as each other. They seem to be minding him like an egg. Audley will be by far the fittest looking opponent he has faced.

Wilder hasnt been tested yet,has been matched easy enough and fight against Harrison is another easy one in my opinion

Don't see how Audley can win, really. If Wilder can do anything it's punch like a mule. One right hand, literally one, and Audley will either be severely hurt or severely comatose.

    Good knockout tonight.

Wilder's fight stats do make it seem like he could be the next Mike Tyson. 25 fights, 25 wins, 25 Knockouts. The perfect record.

Needs to step up a few levels of opponents to get a better idea.

With a record like that you would think there would be more hype around him?

He was sparring with Haye a while back.

A fight against Haye in the summer would be interesting.

    Fury would bate him handy.

It's easy to be an expert after the fact. Wilder was unproven and Harrison had looks pretty decent in prizefighter. I also thought the lighter weight would improve his all round game.

He's scared ****less in there. The guy should really hang them up

no sure about that, Wilder got knocked on his ass by a feather fisted Harold Sconiers in 2010. His management are clearly puting him in against chinny 3rd tier fighters with terrrible records.Audley is the most dangerous fighter he has ever fought? If he ever fights a skilfful durable opponent . It might be David Price all over again?

I wonder are his management going to try and retire him with a 100 % record, maybe wait till the Klts are gone, and put him in against some paper weight champion
