Its a terrible game, but it looks like a decent crowd.

It's certainly hard to make a case for Cardiff against Leinster next week on what they've shown tonight.

    Glasgow lead 17-3

Scarlets coming back in Edinburgh who completly failed to butcher a 13 man Scarlets only trailing 20-16

Roberts went off injured too (knee). Looked bad initially though he walked off the pitch, if somewhat gingerly.

They've shown absolutely nothing that would imply that they could threaten Leinster.

No Warburton AND Roberts would cripple Cardiff.

I would look forward to BOD making mincemeat out of the Gavster next week if he starts.

    17-3 after 55 mins.

77 minutes and Warriors have bonus point.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 29,488 Mod ✭✭✭✭Podge_irl

Glasgow get the bonus point try and move on to 56 points, equal with Munster (though with a game more played).

Their game against Munster in a couple weeks could be interesting.

BP for Glasgow. Big result for them, keeps the pressure on the top 2.

Ospreys 10-3 up after 18 mins

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,407 ✭✭✭✭justsomebloke

Ospreys 20-3 up after 28 minutes. More farcical video ref decisions going there way

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,407 ✭✭✭✭justsomebloke

20-3 half time, ospreys with 2 tries and likely to get the bonus and putting more pressure on Leinster and munster

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

    Ospreys get the BP win

Only 3 points separate second and fifth.

Munster have to play the teams in fourth fifth and sixth in the rest of the league. I can see them dropping out of the top 4 if their focus is on the HEC

Does anybody know where the Pro12 get their stats from??

On the Munster / Leinster head to head they have:

    Played 33 33

    Won 17 14

    Lost 14 17

    Draws 2 2

(and then a load of other stats, but finally, and most curiously....)

    Champions 6 4

So where the hell are they getting these stats from?? Munster 6 times champions to Leinsters 4?? And also I know for a fact that since the 1940's (when the inter-pro's first officially began) up until present day that Leinster have a better head to head record against Munster by about 10...

I wouldn't mind, but not only are these stats used on the site (and they seem to have strange source for every team in every game), but wherever they get this feed of info from, Leinster link the same info into their stats on head to heads etc also....

    Amazing!

What are these 33 games they are talking about, and what are these 6 and 4 championships??

Could it be since professionalism? IE since 1995, 33 games over 17 years sounds about right to me maybe

Is it not the combined ML and HC champions? How many times has Munster won the celtic league?

3 I think, they also won the celtic cup one year so maybe its combined Celtic League, Celtic Cup and Heineken Cup titles

And that Celtic Cup as well? Was that separate?

    Thinking the same.

Whatever way they're doing it makes no sense in any case.

It was a seperate competition for two years Munster won it one year and Ulster won it another year

I dunno where the 33 games came from. The Celtic League was initially broken into two pools where you played the teams in that pool on an home or away basis. Leinster and Munster were never in the same pool. They did compete in the first final though. The comp went changed to a one league basis where you played home and away in 2003/04. That makes it 21 games in total in the Celtic/Magners/Rabo Pro 12 League incl all Finals and Semi Finals.

The breakdown is for Leinster is:
    P21 W12 L9

Edit if you include the interpros and HEC you get 33 games in total.

    Interpros

    P10 W2 L6 D2

    HEC
    P2 W1 L1

Also Leinster have won the HEC twice and the CL twice. Munster have won the HEC twice, the CL three times, and the CC once. So that's where the list of Champions comes from.

Financial difficulties it seems. They'll be replaced by another Italian club next year.

Leaves a lot of stranded players. Apparently a team in Rome are favorites to replace them.

There were a few stories a while back that they were struggling financially a couple of months back. If I remember right they're independent of the Italian union unlike the Irish provinces. They average about 2,500 to 3,000 for their home attendance which is pretty small.
