Jonathan Ross, the infamous UK Chat Show Host rolls into town to show Tubridy how it should be done

Paul McGrath, possibly the greatest Irish Footballer of all time, talks about his life during and after his Football Career

Tyson Fury, Unbeaten Irish, British and Commonwealth Heavyweight Boxing Champion will discuss his successes and World Title aspirations

Aslan are back to celebrate 30 years together, and plug their upcoming Tallaght Stadium gig

Mary Black drops in for a tune from her extensive back catalogue

The Strypes Irish Teenage Beatles-loving Boy band perform their new single

And what better way to round off Friday Night than a debate about Abortion, featuring 3 women who share their stories in this week's debate?**

**I am being sarcastic, but not telling any untruths here. There will be a big old Abortion discussion

I have updated post #1 on this thread now with more details - have a look there.

Man versus boy I'm afraid in the chatshow stakes, Tubridy definitely the boy and Rossy the man.

Difference between Rossy and Tubs is Rossy doesn't sit there reading out questions for 15 minutes like a school kid reading out in class.

Rossy is funny, can tell a joke and very often tears up the script.

Tubs is the least funny guy I have seen anywhere. Even Pat Kenny is capable of telling a good joke now and again and being entertaining.

I'll watch it for Paul McGrath.Legend. Tyson Fury couldn't box eggs! (and he has punched himself in the face in a fight)

    Great line up. :)

    Terrible host. :(

    First question to Tyson Fury...

"is it true you took your name from singer Billy Fury.. He knew The Beatles, did you know that?" *drums desk with hands*

Paul McGrath is a man of many talents.

Here is a lovely rendition of a classic ...

And this went to no.1 in Ireland for two glorious weeks back in 1990 ...

    Tyson Fury is a gent

Must be weird for tubs interviewing Johnathan Ross, it's a bit like Mary Byrne interviewing Pavorotti

Actually i know this is sad but typical tubridy...

Tubs to Christy from aslan: So how did the drugs start...
Christy: ah it went way back to the abuse.....but it's a happy night we won't go there tonight.....
Tubs: "you were abused by your neighbour was it?"

    This actually happened

The discussion on fertility/embryo selection a couple of months ago was a disaster from start to finish. It was unresearched, unbalanced and extremely pro-life. It was some of the worst television I have seen. Sadly, I have no doubt that the discussion on abortion tonight will be the same, if not worse!

My dream show...Woss is first guest - becomes bored, beats Tubs to death on live TV then proceeds to interview the rest of the guests while he and Christy (sitting on his lap) smoke crack.

Sorry, Ryan, nothing personal or any of that ****e.:p

Tubridy must be bricking it having to carry out one of his famous "interviews" with J Ross........

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,749 ✭✭✭✭grey_so_what

Maybe JRoss will interview Mr. T?

    Well, that's what I'm expecting...:)

Maybe JRoss will interview Mr. T?

    Well, that's what I'm expecting...:)

    Might go something like this......

Ross - So Ryan. How does it feel to be a grossly overpaid radio & TV personality ?
DLB - You tell me Johnny boy !
Both - Smug chuckles all round.

Decent line up tonight. I might even watch it.

I hope he doesn't spend the interview with McGrath talking about his drink issues. We've heard it all before. How about asking him questions about what he's best known and loved for. Soccer.

No, although there are stories that the Saturday Night Show want them on tomorrow.

That could be good ... "But you told me there had never been a better time to buy more property, Brendan ya Bollix. it's all your fault"

Tubs desperate not to mention the word 'abortion' there.

Not a bad idea - would have been better not to discuss it at all.
