Auld Silent Rage has been given the boot, knew they should've picked Luke instead:
PWInsider.com reports that WWE has released “Tough Enough” winner Andy Leavine, who had been working at Florida Championship Wrestling under the name Kevin Hackman.

Leavine was the of the revived “Tough Enough” series in 2010. Leavine was used in a few vignettes about his training, but was never utilized again on the main roster.

Is Morrison the only Tough Enough winner (he did win, didnt he?) to have any sort of meaningful success? You really have to wonder what the point of it is, the chances of just stumbling upon the next wrestling superstar are pretty slim.

    Couldn't agree more.

Even looking at the original TE2011 Thread we all knew that "Big Useless" was never going anywhere. Another case of WWE choosing size over talent. Luke got by far the biggest reaction by the live crowd, looks great, athletic, of course he got shítcanned and never made it out of the starting blocks. We were right.

i saw no potential in any of them, wwe already have loads of pretty boy 180-190lb underwear models types with cocky attitudes on the roster that luke would have just got lost in the pack

the fact that matt cross made it to the final 14 and austin aries was told f**k off makes me ask who in the blue hell was choosing the participants in the first place

didn't vince distance himself from the whole thing like the first week or so from reports??

Vince was more "USA Network are producing/editing the show and we're pretty much reduced to just supplying talent and replica Cena belts? Fùck that!"

No matter how praised the show was he was done with the show pretty quick. Huge shame. I think Kurt would've been perfect here. Jericho as well. Also Triple H if he didn't scare people off lol!

Seein Luke on the show, his promos were fantastic. Definitely worth more than what he got, and better than Big Useless. We can always use another Cody Rhodes or Justin Gabriel.

Makes me very glad I didn't bother investing a second of my time in the waste of a show.

Well, other than this video clip....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,116 ✭✭✭starviewadams

You missed out then,Austin was ridiculously awesome in the closing minutes of each show when he was deciding who to send home!

Couldn't agree any more mate. This isn't the b.s. 2004 million-dollar wash-out show; this was a really well made reality wrestling show; with Austin cutting a ten minute promo, absolutely reaming the bottom 3 contestants each week. It was gold - it blows RAW/SD promos out of the water.

Couldn't find a decent clip but seriously it's worth checking out :)

this is all he'll be remembered for, at least for me anyway

    1335204903576.gif

a what, 6ft 5" 300 pound man getting dropped by a slap by vinnie mac, and then getting a stunner straight after winning the competition. was cringe worthy stuff.

Spot on Charlie, it was a very odd moment. If he came out the next week hell bent on proving himself it would have been a good starting point for him. But it went nowhere. You're right, a lot of people will remember him just for this.

Shouldn't they have just sacked him then. Ok, ok he was NEVER, EVER going to make it big in wrestling but way to dump in his Cereal straight away & make him look like horse shít.

I think the writing was on the wall a couple of months back when JR mentioned on Twitter that he still needed a lot of work.

Another contestant A.J Kirsch has caused a stir recently by uploading vids to Youtube where he cuts disparaging promos on all the T.E trainers. Even the golden girl Trish.

The only other RAW moment i remember of him is CM Punk pretty much telling him to piss off so he could talk to Stone Cold. :p

Surprised nobody mentioned the possibility that he was released because he repeatedly failed Wellness Policy, his talent (or lack of) may have had nothing to do with it. Sure I read he failed at least once.

Even so he didn't appear to be the most talented out of the bunch on Tough Enough anyway. Still think Jeremiah should have won, even if he was destined to be a redneck Jamie Noble v2.

Anyway here's to hoping Andy Leavine joins TNA, he's the one thing missing to add more intrigue to the epic Matt Morgan/Crimson feud and make it a triple-threat. NOT!

No surprise - and no great loss!!

    never liked the chap!

Dammit, Andy! Thought i would have my hipster moment in a few years when he would be pushed to the moon and everyone loves him and i could say "Well, i was backing him before all you marks..:P"

Maybe this was all an elaborate sick joke that mcmahon conducted to have him win so he could get a kick out of not giving him a chance and releasing him down the line.
Sounds farfetched but not too different from the same jokes vince has played on people.

Meh from what i've read he didn't really have a good attiude backstage. He got suspended not long after Tough Enough, and from what I have seen in Tough Enough he just came off as a real sour puss and crybaby. I mean I know he cares about his family, but let's be real. WWE are on the road all year long, he's GOING to be away from them for a long time if they don't travel with him. Did he not realise that when he first signed up or was he actually stupid enough to go in without doing a bit of backround research first.

Maybe he might go to OVW, get trained up and debut in TNA instead, they have a lighter schedule and one he'd proberly be happier taking. Then again i'm not a fan of Andy either so I really don't care if I never see him on a wrestling show ever again.

I definitely don't want to see him in TNA, although with these new Open Fight Night (Brother) episodes where an outside talent has a chance to win a contract, he may pop up on Impact sometime down the road.

I'd love to see him show up for a Gut Check match only to lose to Anarquia in 2 minutes.

Main thing that I remember of Andy from the show was him sitting there with a big moany face on him when all the diva's came over to the TE gaff for a night out on the piss.Instantly took a disliking to him after that!

    Andy Levine Tribute

Reminds me of the Braden Walker tribute. Now to decide who had the better career:

    * Walker had people anticipating his debut and talking about how lame it was in equal measure. He also had a match!!!

    * Big Andy had screen time with Vince and Austin.

It's a tough one, but I'm going with Andy. As an added bonus, his footage was in HD too.

honestly neither Luke or Andy should have won. Andy mainly because he had nothing to offer WWE and Luke because he had an awful attitude and his ego needed a blow. the likes of Martin, Matt and AJ are all superior wrestlers to both of them even if the last two didn't show much of it on Tough Enough. even Eric's shown a lot of improvement lately

funny that the girls are doing the best out of all the show since the two with experience got signed though hilarious that the first contestant eliminated was first to make it to WrestleMania

contestants AJ Kirsch and Eric Watts faced off in a singles match back on the 31st March at UCW-Zero's 10th Anniversary Show.

pretty good match if you ask me. Eric's gotten great praise for improving since he got eliminated from the show while AJ's always been a brilliant heel in the making. Luke Robinson and Martin Casaus also had a match on the same show but so far there isn't any footage of it

    Was just told something interesting...

    - Andy Levine was signed to a wwe developmental deal well before the revival of tough enough happened.
    - he gets let go of his developmental deal to "appear" in tough enough.
    - he wins tough enough :pac:

can anyone scream "RIGGED!!!" loud enough? :pac:
Not shocking. Is WWE after all.

There was a few of them who were signed to developmental contracts before the show. Maybe not immediately before the show, but definitely at some stage.

Wasn't Alicia Fox's sister signed to a developmental deal before TE also?

    Yeah,
I knew Alicia Fox's sister, and others, were signed and in FCW prior to Tough Enough. I foolishly didnt know the eventual winner was. I honestly thought Andy Levine was a selected indy worker for the show (like Mdog 20 was) who shined and was selected to be the eventual winner during the early stages of of recording with the potential to make money off him :o

Very foolish of me. I should of known he was going to be the winner well before any shot was ever filmed :o

Its funny tho. They make him win and only to fire him. Since obviously someone lobbyed and green-lighted him to be the winner. It just doesnt make any sense tho.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 468 ✭✭bobby_says_hi

it was probably just making sure anyone but Luke won. i mean who really wants someone with an attitude like that working for them? other contestants have said that he wasn't edited at all and that was how he really was. when Martin got injured Andy was pretty much the only other one. Jeremiah was too green and too reckless, Christina was injured as well and too reckless and AJ didn't show anything until his last week

I watched back a couple of episodes tonight. I'd forgotten what a bone headed moron Levine was. To hear this backwater banjo boy speak made me cringe, Pure unadulterated ignorance, the guy had no business putting himself on tv. He sucked in the ring, sucked on the mic and had nothing going for him apart from his juiced up pseudo physique.
