While congratulating myself on achieving a final 80% of the total and managing an average of 550mts per day over the 47 days I noticed the winners totals ....

Brian Toone climbed a total of 142,848 mts in 47 days .... thats 3039 mts per day, every day! He also cycled 96 times ie twice a day!

I know Ryan over achieved, anyone else get over 100%?

A university professor. Fairly safe to say then that he only works a few hours a week and gets massively paid for it, giving him a chance to spend 35 hours a week cycling while his wife stays at home with the kids :)

Though you can't fault his dedication. He has a scott addict with 80,000km on the clock
I'd be fairly sure that the frame is about the only original part left on that one.

and you climb loads as it is, hence your knee pain

I was looking at his (Toone) files and I think he's being credited with alot of ascending meters that he didn't do !!
/or maybe I'm just a spiteful git :pac:

Only 47% for me but in the Ride Hard to Breathe Easy challenge I got to 139%. Ironically I've just gone back on the fags after 4 months off - idiot :(

No I agree, perhaps the strava elevation corrections they have in the states are more accurate. There was one ride where he was accumulating more elevation than I compared for a similar distance I did where I was just going up and down a 7% gradient yet getting less elevation than brian, and I couldnt honestly see his average ascents on that ride being >7% (maybe they were, i wasnt looking that hard). Having said all of that hes still doing miles more than the rest of us ! and kudos for that.
