studying in belgium healthcare

    hey,

    im going to belgium in september to study for a year. does any one have any idea how basic things like going to a GP works over there for irish students? would i have to pay and if so is it expensive? i have a european health insurance card but no private insurance like bupa or whatever.

    You don't need private insurance here. Your EHIC means you will be covered for the year as any Belgian with insurance would.

    GP costs 23 euro I believe and some may be claimable back.
