i've an Acer laptop Windows 7 , about 3years old at this stage ,
but lately , its doing some mad stuff , first off , my Antivirus software (Norton's) is automatically disabling , and opening other programs is just ridiculous ,
is there any chance that I have a possible virus , any ideas as to how I can go about removing it myself ?

Can you have a look at task manager and tell us what's using most resources, cpu + memory, also is your Norton subscription up to date ?

Last night , went home after work and try the instructions only to find the Laptop ain't doing anything , cannot open anything , even in Safemode , the Windows Action Centre will not open ,

so its for the repairshop ,
but my Question for you guys :
even with Antivirus software , how the hell do I prevent this from happening again
I had been running updates and troubleshoot almost on the weekly basis
    so frustrating
