Left surname out in passenger info on booking AerLingus. How can I edit?

Basically, I booked a flight for me and 3 other passengers with Aer Lingus. I mixed up one of the guys names and put in his first name and thought his middle was his surname.

His Passport says "Name Middlename Surname" but I booked it as "Name Middlename" thinking his middlename was his surname...Confusing I know!

Is there any way I can edit this?(AerLingus)

they will charge you 100euros for the pleasure of changing the name on the booking.

    did the same thing myself.

Seriously man? His name is right and all, I just left out his surname. Still €100?

    *UPDATE*

I rang Aer Lingus up and was put through to a very helpful women. I explained that I had made a spelling mistake and wished to change it. She sorted it out for me and added in the passengers surname. Gave me a new booking reference for that individual passenger and explained that this passenger would have to check in at the airport.

There was no mention of fees from either myself or her. I got an email with a receipt saying the following:

    RECEIPT:
    Fare details:
    Category Fare Taxes,Fees,Charges Subtotal
    EUR0.00 EUR0.00

    GRAND TOTAL EUR0.00

    Payment TKT
    Restrictions/Endorsements
    NO RFND/CHG FEE APPLIES
CXL BY FLT DT OR NO VALUE

So as far as I know I will not get charged for this... Good customer service :D

As long as I don't get the fine at the check in desk! although judging by the receipt then I am guessing i should be alright

Is there really much difference between adding in a surname and changing the spelling of the surname? i dont think so...

when did you have to pay the money?

I made an error in my wife's first name yesterday when booking return flights for late July.

I rang reservations this morning. A very helpful young man made the correction without charge, and re-sent the booking confirmation using the same reference.

    Thank you, Are Lingus!

Hope you didn't tell the wife that you got her name wrong!

    Thread closed by me.

It's nice to see the Aer Lingus Customer Service has not changed all that much since this thread was first created back in 2012.

    Thanks,
