kind of shocking this really, you would think AMC would do anything to keep a guy who has brought the show the top of the television mountain,

under him the show has taken a hugh turn for the better, faster and so much better storytelling, a lot more zombie killing, i wonder what the hell does be going on in that AMC boardroom, i mean it can hardly be a money situation, the show is killing the competition, they say its creative, but i cant see how it can be that either,

This article says a lot of the show runners have had problems with Amc.

^^On top of that, it's a great move for Mazzara. Easily the best season of one of the most popular shows on TV and it's largely down to him. Going out on a high is always a great career move.

yeah after youve done 4 or 5 seasons of great TV not 1 season (so far half),

yeah was reading that the sons of anarchy showrunner had a rant about AMCs board saying that its full of old men that dont know how to handle creative talent, he was also saying that breaking bad was ready to move to another channel after 4 seasons on AMC, and that the showrunners were made cut it short under orders from the board, and then they gave the Mad Men showrunner a massive injection of cash to stay on for 2 more seasons and that was one of the big factors in darabont leaving The Walking Dead,

crazy crowd to be working for

Season 2 was the worst season. So now we will never know if he just got lucky with season 3 or if season 2 was down Darabont leaving. So if your going to credit him with the best season you also have to credit him with the worst season.

In fairness the second half of season 2 that Mazarra was responsible was alot better then the first half that Darabont was responsible for.
