    Saddle is classic Turbo
    Seatpost is Campagnolo Aero
    Headset is also Campagnolo
    Nice gold chain

Condition: Bike isn't perfect but in extremely good condition for an unsrestored version of this age. The groupset is in good nick, cranks have some use marks, brakes and derailleur are great. Frame has one or two scrapes on it. Chrome is good, some small spots on the forks. Wheels are true and the rear just had bearings redone.

I will not be including the tyres pictured in the sale. I will have a set of something else on it. Am trying to find some gum walls for the sale.

    Price: 500 euro

That is a beut...! I have a real soft spot for "The Lion" ... ! I have one as well ... Well 5 TBH

I remember one of the lads buyig one in 1988 brand spankin new with a Full Mavic SSC group on GP4 Mavics .. It was over a grand and that was punts . When he rolled up at the line .. One word WOW...

AFAIK that bike itself was a special order as the 531pro Peugeot of that era came with Shimano 600 group out of the box. The frame was available separate but you could have went to your local Peugeot dealer and specifed what you wanted right down to the toe-straps. ATM I am looking for an order form that you ticked the boxes on in 1987.

Them pics make the hairs stand on my back... What a bike.. ! A Peugeot always looks like its going at 40mph even its parked !

I have two very good reasons why I cant buy it... Its too small as I am a 60cm and most importantly I already have a shed full of Pugs and a disgruntled better half

A fantasic bike from when times were simpler, when men were proper hard men, and races were proper hard races. Survival of the fittest and the devil take the hindmost.

Nowadays bikes are totally non descript, mass produced and throwaway white goods.... ! Races are all soft affairs. 60kms max for A4 bah....!

I know I am ranting a bit but I hope she goes to somenoe who will appreciate what they have under them and gets her out there to be admired and envyed....

Sorry lads thats my favorite subject covered ..

Bottom line €500 is very cheap for what you are getting... !

    OP - Love it...

What's the geometry on old frames like that compared to new bikes. I suppose what I'm asking is, is a "54" today the same as a "54" of yesteryear?

    I ride a 56

I ride a 57 and have been told 58 - 62 would suit me best, depending on the frame itself.

I'm unsure of the sizing on this. Could you let me know the top tube and seat tube measurements?

    Thanks.

    I'll doublecheck when I get home, but I think it's 54x54.

The price I listed it for tbh. It's a fair price for what the buyer gets.

Ok, I'll meet you half way on this, which gets you to almost 90% of asking.

As far as I can tell, there have been no offers on this bike in the 2.5 months since you've advertised it. There have been some lovely comments, which I don't disagree with by the way, but lovely comments ain't going to buy the bike and I'm offering what I consider to be fair price.

    So, final offer of €435.
