Wage Equalisation - Cost Of Living Indicators

    Hi folks,

Anyone have a reliable reference for a country/city cost of living index?

Would like to know what I should be negotiating when moving from my company to a sister company in Melbourne and what the wage equalisation should be as a base.

I've seen the website numbeo but I doubt this is official. The Mercer cost of living index sounds official but I haven't found access to any reports (for 2012 or otherwise), seems like it's a pay only service.

I'm sure indexes differ so would like to go into negotiations knowing some more solid information than just something I googled.

    Thanks for any feedback!
