Nespresso €50 voucher question

ok so I have bought a nespresso machine, as I just couldn't bear the cleaning involved with the icona any more. [v lazy and hate wasting water]. It came with a €50 voucher to be used against nespresso coffee pods. However it appears I have to go on their site and register first, supplying them with some marketing info and then I will be a member of their club - all seems a bit of a palaver to me! Has anyone used the voucher - if I join the club can I get €50 worth of coffee straight off with no other purchase required ? Are there other advantages to being a member of the club ?

Hi Caroleia,

As far as i know, once you register, the credit goes onto your account, and then you can use it to "buy" the coffee. You don't have to ever use the website again if you don't want to.

With the club, it's just to keep you updated re new blends and such, and when they come out. They also keep a track of your coffee purchases if you order online or over the phone, so if you can't remember what you ordered the last time, they will know.

thanks Triseke for replying. I will register so. I guess it is worth their while to give the voucher when they are getting so much info on their customers in return!

Would you mind if I asked how much you paid for the machine and where? A friend of mine is thinking of buying one and was holding out for this promotion!

For what its worth I bought the krups essenza in Arnotts for €99. Its here on BT site but out of stock at the moment.

I am very happy with it.
Oddly enough I never claimed the €50 worth of coffee in the end. Found the brochure a couple of days ago and the promotion had run out in June. I order mine from a site called allaboutpods based in Dublin - the coffee is great and comes in a bit cheaper as well. I feel a bit uncomfortable with having to register my details/queue in a poncey boutique just so I can have a coffee in my own home!

The voucher is a scam its only valid for between machines purchased between certain dates. Outside of these dates the machines pric is reduced by the voucher date. No point holding out for a promotion as the price will increase.

The cheapest place to buy them is in home and cook ( I think that's the shop name ) in Kildare outlet village
