do you judge someone and their posts based on their post count.

I often find myself looking at a post count and seeing 50k + posts and thinking ''jesus what the hell do you do with your life pal, have you ever stepped outside your mother's basement, have you ever bathed your skin in sunlight, have you ever held a girl's hand''.

there's some lad here who has 80 plus thousand posts, he deserves some sort of medal.

Maybe they're in the basement they've built while holding hands with the the young lady captured Fritzl / Dutroux style that's got a shaft of sunlight beaming through.

I judge posters who know the goings on with this place yet have only just recently registered or have a low post count. Either a) They are a lurker which means they are a shy and smarmy mutant or b) they're a re-reg and didn't have the balls to keep their former account. Either way they're for the watching.

I always find it hilarious when people on Boards criticise someone's practice of posting on Boards by themselves posting on Boards!

Post count is a non issue unless it's a new poster I'd probably think troll depending on their post, or perhaps rereg if they start posting a lot right away.
I've a lot of posts and a life so I gather others do too.
I was on the dole when I joined here originally though, I guess I had a lot of free time then.
Even now though I post a lot on my phone when on the bus (or luas) and even while in work. It passes the day. I'm very rarely left with just my own thoughts. I'm almost constantly communicating in some form.

There was a time around 2004 & 2005 when boardsies would start threads to announce their 10,000th post.

    Now nobody cares or notices.

And if somebody wanted to leave boards they might start a thread about it.

If a well known poster wanted to take a break for a few months they would announce this and drop in occasionally with their countdown.
A lad called The_RB did that. Took off for the summer and wanted everyone to know when he was back

Ah but that was ye olden times, around 2004 & 2005.

Ruu knows what I'm talking about

Boards was a far smaller place back then

Didn't you get banned and have to re-reg after that thread where your Goldfish molestation came out?
