Full Time Work...What a load

So been working full time for 6 weeks now and all I've got to say about it is... that it totally sucks...

Why in the name of superman(or buddha/god/who or whatever you believe in) would someone do a full time job, I was working part time and it was grand was making enough money to cover myself and save some, but then a full time position became available and i took it:o Taking the full time job is starting to feel like a serious mistake. I've had to pretty much give a lot of things I really enjoy:mad:

Trying to get to the gym, train and eat properly is genuinely difficult never mind having some time to relax. At times I'm finding myself missing my life as a dolee(cycling 300km a week & gym 3-4 times a week) or even as a part timer(less cycling & gym 3-4 times a week).

I think people who rag on the dolee's on here are doing because they are jealous, cause the dolee's have the right idea...

I've a few mates on the dole, one trains all he wants and is always doing different things, the other is off on his 4 holiday of the year already(yes thats 4 trips abroad since January)

    /rant

Why do you work two jobs?

The working life sucks. I enjoy what I do sometimes (I'm a programmer) but a lot of the time it's just too stressful.

The only reasons I can see for working a job are to fund a lifestyle you couldn't on a part time or the dole or to support a family (which you presumably couldn't do to the extent you'd like on a part time or the dole).

I've a cheap lifestyle and no dependents so I often wonder what I'm doing. I will be leaving the country to earn less money but deal with less stress in the next few months however. It'll really push me to minimize my expenses (which is great for me, I'm big into the minimal lifestyle thing).

Believe it or not, but some people have mortgages to pay and kids to feed.

two part time jobs, so I can earn full time money? (and so I can save up and buy a cat sanctuary for homeless cats)

TBH I've no plans on ever having any dependents, and I've pretty always been very careful and wise with my money

As I've said, I've no interest in that kind of life, the idea of taking a loan for something you can't afford is nonsensical

Jump on the dole would be my advice.

People will judge but at the end of the day your goal in life should be to either enjoy yourself or provide for your dependents.

If you can get a job you enjoy then go for it, but don't waste your life working a job you hate because others might judge you if you don't.

Look for a part-time job then OP.

But... that doesn't change the fact that they have to pay for them, hence working full-time, thus answering the OP's question.

by day I'm a humble shop assistant by night I seek out those too weak to take vitamins and administer them via a cup of cold refreshing fizzy drink. Sometimes we smoke rollies together by the heat of the coal burner and wait for dawn.

    Fuck that.

Everybody likes to shite on about how life is short and how you have to make the most of it and then in the same breath shite on about how you have to take responsibility and life is tough and yada yada yada.

If you've no responsibilities then your focus should be making the most out of your life. That might mean changing the world or it might mean just enjoying yourself.

Yeah- they CHOSE to have them....therefore they HAVE to pay for them. So they should shut the fuuck up complaining. You make your bed, you lie in it.

No not because it's the right thing to do, but because you can enjoy yourself without the need to sponge off other people.

Work part time and live cheap.

Why the fuuck would I sponge off other people when I can easily make the most of life looking after myself.

Jesus- the whack a sponge off ya !!

Did you not read the fact that I do have a job? And that I'm putting my career on hiatus to work a less stressful, more enjoyable one?

    Nothing spongey about me.

I did it last summer and the summer before and it can be sh!t at times. But I was only earning a little over minimum wage and I was rolling in it by the end of the summer as my living costs are low. Do you not like the extra money?
