Big 4 page article in this week's Cycling Weekly. Apparently it's almost impossible to get any womens racing coverage in the mag, and quadruply so if it's not dotcodotuk racing. So today's article is a proper coup, and the result of months of months of work and preparation.
They have a regular feature in the mag where a journo cycles a stage of a race in the company of a pro rider and this week they've covered a stage of this year's Rás na mBan. Bloody hard stage, but (I haven't seen the article yet) it should look Bórd Fáilte standard cos the weather that weekend was smashing so the pics should be great.

Don't go out and buy it yet cos I want to get my hands on a copy, but after lunchtime-ish, knock yourselves out. :D

Fantastic to see. Another great achievement by an organising crew who have to battle hard to run this race year after year.

Great race and great organising team.
Kudos to CW for the feature as well...

'Sfunny. No sign of the armchair-idignants in this polite womens racing thread. I guess I'll have to post something controversial to get them to bang their out-of-joint noses off their keyboards. :p

Being talked about v's not being talked about. So goes the conundrum.

Well? Anyone read it? Was a good piece I thought. Hard to know what impact it'll have in terms of attracting teams.

Yer man Chris Sidwell (s?), the author, is a fascinating bloke. You'd pay good money to have him at your dinner party table.

I got it, really enjoyed it. Thought the pictures were great - you'd think the sun never stopped shining in Co Clare! Have arranged so I can get the week off work and head down.
