By a friend i mean someone that you would know fairly well, You would know their first name and they would know yours!
I dont know anyone from Armagh, Cavan, Carlow, Westmeath or Longford.

No, not every county, most though. I'd be missing some of the southern counties, none from Limerick for example

With that sort of attitude, we'll soon have someone starting a thread along the lines of "Have you had sex with someone from each of the 32 counties?", and then there'll be trouble...

I'd prob be lucky to have real friends from about 7 different counties tbh!

Fermanagh is a strange one alright.. I lived beside it all my life and I know only a handful of people from there, mainly Enniskillen. Fermanagh people tend to either stay there or emmigrate.. correct me if Im wrong, and no offence to Fermanonites.

Seems my theory that everyone on the planet knows someone from Monaghan is correct since no one on here has said they dont know someone from Monaghan.

I can say that I have friends in or from most counties. Cant think of any I don't actually.

Thank you League of Ireland football for connecting me with people from all over the country and then other randomers make up the rest.

My theory is a lot of younger generations went to college or university, by younger I mean younger than me when I was at school only the privileged few went on to further education, by going on you meet others from other counties. By not doing so I know very few from other counties.

I vaguely know some people from Monaghan but they'd be friends of friends, not actually my personal friends. I could say that about most counties though, except maybe the 6 Ulster counties, I don't know anyone from those strangely enough.

My closest friends are from Cork, Kerry, Kilkenny, Longford, Clare, Roscommon, Meath, Wexford and then a few living in Dublin- but I'm actually not friends with anyone who is originally from Dublin which is probably a bit unusual!

All of Munster, Galway, Mayo, Sligo, Roscommon, Louth, Meath, Dublin, Wicklow, Wexford, Laois, Offaly, Kilkenny, Kildare

I don't have any friends in Leitrim, have never meet anyone from Leitrim and no one I'm friends with has either. I'm starting to think that Leitrim is just put on maps for the laugh!

    I have 1 friend from 1 county...

So 1 down, 31 left to go!

Just because someone knows your name and you know theirs it hardly counts as being friends. I only know people from Derry, Tyrone and Antrim, have relatives in all these. Know someone from Monaghan as well, living in Derry. Don't think I've ever had a conversation with anyone in the 3 other provinces.
