Why not go for a reclaimed brick wall. With regards to the brick panels a lot of the builders providers do them. I know they are available in Heaton Buckleys in Ballymount, Dublin. i'm in the process of an extension and we're using reclaimed brick from a salvage yard for the look that your looking for.

    Thanks mick!
Yes was thinking of doing that too, have u got your bricks cut down to slips or are you using the full brick?
Also what salvage yard did you get yours from and did it work out expensive?

    Thanks for your help!

i'm using the Architectual Salvage in Kingswood just off the Naas Road. Another place that does reclaimed bricks is the salvage yard in Kilmainham. Expect to pay 80c to 1€ per brick. i'm leaving them as they are. getting them cut in half etc adds to the expense. i'm doing a 9 meter internal wall next week. Its also nice to know a bit of history about the brick etc

How did the bricks come ?

    Thanks Guys

The bricks normally come in pallets of 500 however of you are looking for 200 etc for a splash back in your kitchen you can buy them separately. With regards to a splash back it would look great however you have to remember that you are going to lose about 4-5 inches if you use the full brick. Some stone works do cut bricks down to size however this would be adding to the expense. As mentioned above all salvage yards through-out the country sell them for 80c to a euro each. Hope this helps.

    Thanks Micky :)

That's what I was thinking, there is a place in the UK that sells them at 1/10th the width.

I was thinking of shipping them here, but its a bit risky as I would really like to see them first

    Thanks again though

Extension finished guys and we did a full length (8.5 meter wall) with reclaimed bricks. Sourced in a salvage yard in Dublin (Belfast reclaimed brick). Very similar to the OP original pic. Delighted with the job. Just had to seal the wall to avoid dust etc. Would highly recommend it. Looks like a great feature in the house.
