I attest to this. If you are using this for media, just dont bother. You will pull your hair out at the average 2-3MB/s write speed.

I dont get the problem people have with the write speed thing unless you are in a great hurry all the time, you can have it transferring what ever you want to put the memory stick while doing something else on your computer while you wait. While i do understand people might be putting these sticks into media player to record HD channels and they, might not write fast enough, thats fine, but for your storing data and putting movies on sticks to watch on your tv later their grand , great bargain OP

I am not an impatient person, really it does not bother me how long it takes to transfer files, and for 3.99 it is a bargain, but in general, having had, and still have, 3 of the Sandisk Cruzers, their write speed is horrific. I got a 32gb one for around 11 quid which was also good value but terrible write speed of only max 4mb/s

So thanks OP for the BA but I would not personally buy any more of these impossibly slow devices.

If I am filling it now with anything I leave it to work overnight to avoid frustration :(

Stock showing up for me in various stores, how useable are these for watching movies on via a usb port on tv? Is the read speed ok or will it stutter?

What would be a good write speed. Argos have another 8 gb for sale with 2 for 14:99 or something like that I use them for movies

These have incredibly slow transfer speeds. My Internet downloads are faster, seriously.
