Gigging rock band needs a new singer. Very simple really, we need a new voice for the band. You don't need to be able to play anything, just sing.

    Hi Anne,

We have no real problem either way with gender. Age wise, preferably over 25, and under, say 45. The main things we need are stage presence and a suitable voice. We don't want a great voice coming from someone who imitates a plank of wood. Nor do we want an energetic nut who does not have the right voice. A rock voice coming from someone who moves about a bit, and gets into what they are doing. An edge in the voice is needed, we are a rock band. A clear voice won't do, the rough edge is needed. We are all based around Wellingtonbridge, and have permanent rehearsal space in the village.
If you think you fit all that, then we can point you at some recordings, and see what you think.

Hi hun thanks for getting back to me so quick I am 46 but am told i look a lot younger. Do you mean by rough edge you need a husky voice as mine wouldn't be husky but can be loud and soft and can hit low and high notes no problem . Do ye do your own original stuff hun or do ye do covers. I am in waterford county but would be willing to travel and see how it goes

Hi Anne, aye, we would need a husky voice. Most of what we do is very rocky sounding, and I'm not sure a clear voice would suit. We are not a covers band, no, all original material. The vocalist we had could cover a wide range of notes, about three octaves, and we took full advantage of that. We also tune in an odd manner, and it is pretty low, mainly to take advantage of an extended vocal range. Do you have any recordings where we could hear your voice?

no hun I don't have any recordings done and I understand totally the voice you are looking for which I know my voice wouldn't be raspy enough for what your looking for but thanks anyway hun and wish you all the very best with it all. I really hope you find someone who will do your songs and music justice :)

Thanks Anne. It is a case of a certain type of voice needed, sorry. Thank you, we will find 'the right person', I'm sure. Hopefully! And you will find what you're looking for too. If it helps you at all, we also operate a backing band, it's mainly aimed at singer/songwriter type, who play guitar, and we provide bass and drums.

    Hi Linda,

We are not based in Dublin, but are in the south east of the country, around county Wexford. I think that might be a bit far.
