Gaelic Football Corner Forward Problem

I'm new enough to this so bear with me if you can. But I'm a corner forward as stated above, with a very frustrating problem. I can't seem to get on the ball any more.
I seem to be getting into bad positions and play bypassing me.... Or even getting in the way sometimes!
I've never been blessed with pace so I've had to rely on "cute hoor" runs more in the past. But now I just can't even seem to do that any more, and apart from frees keeping me in there a bit I don't contribute anything from open play it seems any more. My confidence is totally shot.
I was basically wondering if anyone has any insight or tips or tricks or even back to basics stuff to get on the ball or good runs to make I could try at training during the week and maybe start from scratch. I'm hitting 30 and have to maybe start adapting my game

    Thanks

    Hi Notre,
My advice would be, to first of all not to panic. we all go through poor form/confidence issue.
if you are that stage of your career where pace is becoming a problem, well then as stated the runs will have to be a little bit more measured and timed better thats all. just playing smart. So if your in the corner looking for the ball make sure that your not sprinting more than approx 15 yards to win the win the ball, any longer of a run and your gonna lose out on pace. you should be looking for the ball as close to your team-mate as possible.but try not to get to close otherwise you clog up the forwards who are coming through at pace.Ideally you should be letting your quick inside forwards gain primary possesion, and could come round on the loop for a quick handpass and have a pop at goals or even slip it off to oncoming half-forward/half-back.
If your tall, you may be suited better to full forward and get the boys out the field to pump in ariel ball.
if you take frees that would mean you are decent kicker of the ball, perhaps a passing role at centre forward might suit you better at this stage, and leave the speedy lads inside, you can even get on the end of moves.
anyway thats just a few things to think about, might help you.

I play u16,club football,in corner forward 11 a side and need less to say we get hammered, the team is made up of 2 ,15 year olds and the rest u14, I find the half forwards are always kicking the ball straight into the corner,so even when i get the ball I'm in a corner no one ta pass 2 only go back and retain possession, and no where near a scoring possession, any advice on getting into more scoring possessions? No problems in u 14 , get the ball turn your man back of d net
