I was looking around for 2011/12 Audi A3 prices, and came across this advert

    http://cars.donedeal.co.uk/cars-for-sale/audi-a3-1-6-tdi/6510274

Would get a low mileage 2012 A3, changed over to an Irish plate, for €15000, which is about €5k less than the equivalent model from other sellers.

He wouldn't supply the UK reg so I could do a history check, chatted about cloning.

Also, the date on the dash of April 2013 scares me a bit.

I know they always say, if its too good to be true, its probably is.

This makes no sense to me, he is selling the car in Dublin, it's still on UK reg so don't see the concern about cloning. That would be enough for me to say good luck and be on my bike to the next one.

If a car is cheap then it usually is cheap for a reason.

This is the 2nd time he has listed it, so I'm guessing most people think its dodgy too.

That car is way too cheap ... would make 13,000 + in the auctions in England. If it was genuine, the guy would be better off to drive it to Belfast and auction it.

    Tread very carefully !

Way to weird. Why is the seller tried to push the car here instead of the north.

    Yup, that ad stinks.

Bad photos, no reg shown, 089 phone number(could easily be a cheap phone he throws away), no name given.

I wouldn't give that seller a penny of my worst enemies money.

Totally agree plus the way the ad is worded makes me think that he is a Bollxx..

Something is not right. If you cannot do a history check walk away. Too good to be true and relisted so there is definitely an issue.

What ****ty photos, not that difficult to take proper ones. It's the car we want to see, not the buildings in the background!

Do you think it was stolen or crashed or what could be the story? Mileage looks bonkers

I know this car, do see it around !

normally driven by a late 20ish bloke with the tracksuit, nike runner thing going on.

but couldn't say for the car itself. might be fine or a car that was crashed and he repaired ?

plenty of them crash repair jobs about. especially with the vw golf !

    Everything sounds and looks wrong.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say something's wrong.

Look at the user profile on adverts. Seller has recent adverts and lists locations of Sutton, blanchardstown, clondalkin, Tallaght. Had uk reg BMW 3 series advert, NI reg avensis and now the Audi with UK reg, uk reg old Audi , all relatively recent. Dealer of sorts.

If it looks too good to be true then I would follow my gut feeling and walk.

Seller says in the legacy ad that they got banned, that's why they were selling the car!

Probably an ex -copart UK car. Becoming more and more common over here.

So what numbers do you only deal with?

Car could well have been a swimmer.
