New u2 album free to download from iTunes. I can't see if there is any terms and conditions.

Apple just announced the new U2 album is available free to all itunes customers until October 13th.

I had the same problem, eventually got it through iTunes on my PC. Seems their servers are just busy.

Odd? It says I've already purchased it. But it's not in my phone library of songs. Must get to the bottom of it...

According to here it should be just a matter of time before it downloads to your device as the servers are probably a bit overloaded at the moment. It also says already purchased for me too

On iPhone/iPad:

iTunes store app > More > Purchased > Music > Not on this Phone > Various.

You should see the songs there available to download

i downloaded the album on the computer .on the iphone i had to go into Music section/Playlists/and in recently added the album was there but i had to chose download all to get them physically onto the iphone .

Everybody has it as "already purchased", that is the way they have choosen to distribute it.

if you have itunes configured to show your cloud purchases it should show in your Music Libary where you can download it by clicking on the cloud icon next to it.

If you don't have cloud purchases activated, to force the download is to go into edit/preferences/Store and enable "Show iTunes in the cloud purchases".

Than go into your Music Libary and look at the artists "U2", you will now see the new album with a little cloud icon next to it, click the icon and it downloads the album to your harddrive.

Hope you get it downloaded, I just did and the download was resonabliy fast.

i wonder how much U2 had to pay apple to play at the iphone 6 launch event. U2 are pretty brutal these days....

I'm no U2 fan either, their tax avoidance is putting me off and they are rumored to get over 100 Million $ for this.

Now as the album is free I can give it a try and it's not half as bad as background noise to tune out the Irish Water installers currently in my estate. I know the irony if U2 would not use a dutch sandwhich, we possible would not need water meters.

And the fact that it comes in 258 AAC digital remixed for itunes means at least the quality of the sound is good.

Are you mad? Apple paid U2, not the other way around. Apple love U2 and have paid them to do events before and to endorse the U2 iPod.
