A trip to the funny farm is what Briggs needs, not a world title shot!

    That looks very staged...
Briggs was nearly dragging himself off before the other fellas came on the scene.

I thought the exact same thing, Briggs could have hit him if he wanted after Wlad poured the water over him.

I always liked Briggs but he's annoying the **** out of me with all this rubbish, earn your shot you muppet.

Its all staged with Wladimir and Briggs. I dont think so Briggs could possible get access to Wlad's training camp and pass through all security measures :) but anyway Briggs need some medical treatment thats for sure :) almost got killed by Vitali and now he is looking for the same, he should fight Wilder as he would be the biggest competition for Wilder even at his age :)
Shannon is always in shape :)

It wouldn't say much for boxing if a lad that has taken the last 4 years off can come back and look for a title shot. I hope this doesn't come to anything. Heavyweight circuit very quiet at the moment with all these fights being called off.

I have to say I hope that was staged or else Briggs is really a bit nuts. That's not cool messing around him when Briggs is in a boat and Wladimir doesn't even have a life jacket on. Fair play to Wladimir for keeping his balance for that long with the wake coming from behind him!

Wlad should just take out a Restraining order against this fool,Briggs is just looking a payday and has in no way earned a shot at the title,i will be devastated if he gets one.if he was fighting in the back garden i would close the curtains.

    That is utterly f*cking pathetic.

The law should get involved if this doesn't stop.

The clown obviously lost all his money and wants a last big payday for getting the living daylights beten out of him so he has something to keep him going for another few cocaine-fueled years.

Wlad is probably in on it. How the hell else does broke ass Shannon Briggs always know where Wlad is and get there in time to confront him?

The division has been cleared pretty much, it isn't ideal but I suppose you need to do something to generate some interest in a fight

I would love Wlad to put out a statement saying he won't give Briggs a payday/shot no matter what he does because of his actions in trying to get the fight.

No point marketing what just isn't there as i find this very damaging to the sport of boxing.

one of the scorecards was 120 to 105 the last time he got in the ring with vitali so how on earth can they claim this will be a competitive fight? 147 to 160 is where the best action is at.

Briggs needs to go and beat a ranked contender. If he can do that, then this becomes something more than a circus sideshow. Odds are he can't.

Yea there really is nothing established behind Klitscho at the moment. Stiverne is pretty average. Wilder, Ruiz, Parker & Joshua are 12-18 months away from being at fully established & Haye is in the wilderness.

If Fury beats Chisora (should say when) at least he will be a mouth-piece with a semi credible record.

I think it could be a cracking division again (competitiveness if not quality wise) once Klitscho steps away

On a side note,i think they have to seriously up the standard of A Joshua's opponents, putting him in against overweight journey men and coming out with the line this is AJ's toughest test yet and is doing nothing for his reputation,I'd count myself as a decent follower of the sport and i wouldn't watch his fights.most of his opponents were odd of around 33/1 to beat him, that shows what kind of crap he is in against.

Irrespective of the fact that he had a very limited amateur background and is learning the pro game you need to build the 'brand'. Hearn needs to get him known, build a story around him then get him bigger and bigger fights. I think he's been managed perfectly to date. Plus his opposition has been of a comparable or better standard than most young prospects e.g. Tyson or Lewis at the same stage of their development.
