Yeah, that crossed my mind, but it would be a bit late in the day for them to introduce a storyline that Nidge can't read. Also I'm sure he must have sent and received text messages before now.

also didn't he refuse to look for news on his phone when trying to find out about the attempted hit on Patrick by Paulie. would be strange though alright.

Ado and born again were following Patrick and his son. Next scene, Patrick is in a chipper, sitting down mooching chicken nuggets, with his back to the door. Why didn't they not just take him out there and then?

Instead they try and take him out right beside the halting site.

I said it last week and I'm saying it again,

Patrick is a great actor ;)

I can see Nidge getting Glen to kill him

He could alright but killing Patrick won't necessarily remove the trouble with the travellers. Though that's probably the case with all gangland fueds. People seeking revenge.

Speaking of Glen, he has a perfect strike rate but he has been lucky with his targets so far. Wayne with his back to him, rooting under a bin. And Lizzie opening the door expecting the other fellow to be back. He probably hasn't a hope against someone fully prepared to be targeted as Patrick is at the moment.

Speculation on Tommy's role in episode 5 and 6?

Can anyone describe next week's preview for me? Spoiler tags if necessary.

Yeah he wakes up. He sits on the balcony of Siobhan's apartment, asks for a fizzy orange. Siobhan throws him a can. He tries to grab it but overreaches and loses his balance falling to the ground below.

Shame the mods cant delete the spoilers as fast as that.

Calm....... You used the most commonly regarded expletive! It wasnt a spoiler.

How noelie just took what nidge said to him about fran without questioning it was ridiculous, could he not see nidge would tell him anything to get him to kill fran

So Patrick killed his own son then?

"If I can put a bullet in my own son, what else can i do"

And then he cuts yer mans throat. Excellent.

    I dont watch the previews.

Countless others on here dont watch them either.

Countless others on here dont want to know a single thing that will happen in the future and we carefully avoid certain newspapers for this reason.

A show that has a million viewers a week should have, at the very least, a separate thread for those that have seen the trailers and want to speculate.

    Actually. Now there's an idea.

It wasnt a spoiler. I simply speculated upon seeing a preview which will be unavoidable on RTE for the next 6 days for most. And if you read through thr post episode thread ppsts it is referenced countless times. Maybe just stay away from the thread then! I warn you it will be mentioned countless times. If you want to have a go at anyone its the shows producers. But as i said it was no spoiler. Oh and its only a tv show!

    Cinematography??

Cinematography is a technical term. It has nothing to do with plot or character development.

Fair point! Wrong term . I think you know what i mean though. And if you dont. Or claim you dont, i give up! I just feel the show can be so rushed at times and doesnt know where the story is going. And its a pity because im sure if SC had any control in term of the future (ie recommishioning a new series, budget, cast) he would be well able to control the tempo moreso and allow more character insights

What was the scene with nidge signing warrens homework? It was like he didn't know what he was signing!

I think it was a nice juxtaposition of Nidge's relationship with Warren and Patrick's relationship with his son.

Nidge just wanted to sign the homework journal and get it out of the way; Warren told him he had to read it first and look at the art work like any child would when they want attention from a parent.

In contrast Patrick talked to his son about his place in society and in his family, tried to deal with the bullying issue and seemed to have a much more loving relationship with the kid.

Don't think they wanted a big public setting for the shooting of Patrick.

Every guard in the country calls the inspectors cig or cigire.

If it wasn't for this topic on boards I wouldn't have a clue, initially thought kig was his random nickname. Surely loads (most) of people wouldn't know guards call their inspector cig?

The term "old bill" is used often enough in working class Dublin, a lot more than "whacked" or "Clipped" tbh.

Been watching this sh1te since the last series, entertaining in fairness, but still pure sh1te.

Good episode last night, wasn't expecting Paulie to die though.

Big Paddy will be out for blood now with Nidge.

I hope they dodn't kill Fran, hopefully he will make it to the next series.

Reading some of the posts here, its like as if some people want the show to be watched for them. Jesus, its not that complicated, it can be recorded for a rewatch and its on rte player.

Next they will be asking to wipe drool from their chin.

Nah, just some people haven't watched every episode ( I have )

Grow up and get some sleep

It's a tv series, chin wiping isn't needed

Great episode but there is one thing I don't get - if the scottish guy is an undercover cop then why is he sleeping with Nadine? He is mentioned a few times as being Aido's mate so he was obviously his way in to the gang, why would he risk all that by being found out for sleeping with Aido's girlfriend?

One or those dancing born-again addicts looked familiar. I think he might be a busker or something.

Toothless rapper on Henry st. In Dublin. Good spot.

As I said, it is readily available if you missed something. I feel that some posters are going out of their way to look stupid by asking questions about simple plot points. Maybe to make themselves look a bit more endearing or cute to the others on here. Community spirit if you will.

What was the story with Patrick's toddlers grave at the beginning? Is his death connected to the fund or has it been brought up before?
