Fungus is a frequent producer, and occasional presenter on lots of RTE1 radio programmes.

Don Conroy from the Den - he was on Moone Boy a few weeks ago.

    Sherger

There are people that couldn't name five Irish people that have gone missing.
But everyone (of a certain age group) has heard of Sherger.

I remember one of the lads here claimed that Sighle Toibin - daughter of Niall and my college tutor (honestly) was one of the Slightly Bonkers - there were two. But I don't think she was. She was the first Noleen McCoy in Fair City.
Fran Dempsey is not Ian's dad. Ian revealed it on Twitter that the rumour was not true.

Sighle has since told me that she was not Slightly Bonkers but is mistaken as another actress, Lisa Schuster who apparently played one of the Slightlies. So people commonly mistake her as Slightly Bonkers. There were two other actresses who definitely did play Slightly - Virginia Cole and Rosemary Fine.

I read it as the Irish version of Sheila

I'd forgotten he even existed.Did he do anything else of note other than appear in that Sci-fi movie with her?

Andrew Strong.Rarely has there been a bigger plument from fame into obscurity. In fact most of the Commitments cast with a handful of exceptions were never heard from again.
And of course one of those exceptions was Andrea Corr - as far as I can recall she was cast as one of Jimmy Rabbitte's sisters

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,301 ✭✭✭George White

Yes, she was the first Sharon Rabbitte/Curley.

I loved him as a kid, because I thought he was a comedian. Sadly, no, he's genuinely deluded.

Socky was pretty mercilessly replaced, no word, just torn and replaced by ogie. But somehow he's made a comeback.http://www.businessandleadership.com/marketing/item/49851-ray-darcy-and-socky-launch?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
The kids' faces - none of them know what it is. They're too young.

Recollect the mother telling me she started very young on RTE 16/17 herself and Telma

God I remember her, Maire de Barra! Did she do a stint on Bosco too or was that someone else?
If you google images, some lovely pics of her!

He`s a regular guest on Vinny Browne.
Only guessing because I don't listen to much RTE radio but I`d surprised if he wasn't part of some show on there.

Don't think she was on Bosco but there was a female presenter on that who had similar shortish curly black hair,I'd say a lot people get them mixed up.
