Im looking to put together a list of ideas of things to do over the summer with my other half to make it fun and memorable. Cheap and free things are especially welcome.

Do you like outdoorsy things like hill walking or mountaineering, for instance why not give something like Carrauntoohill a go on a nice day.

All open and free to anyone wanting to do it.

Bit short notice but there's the Docklands Summer Festival thing in Dublin City tomorrow and Sunday (you didn't mention where you are based).

I went last year and it was great fun for the day.

Cheap, free and memorable? Lie above the high tide mark overnight on a beach, listen to the surf and watch the glory of the wheeling systems darken overhead.

Are you both physically healthy? Love nature and the great outdoors? Can you handle midges, sunburn and sheepdung on your sandwiches? Relish the satisfaction following a long day of worthwhile exertion?

If the answer is yes to all these questions, PM me for the experience of a lifetime.

Just had an image of turning and stacking turf flash through my head! Tea on the bog, great days tbh :)

Go to a few fleadhs, they are often free.

We're in the south-east. Love the outdoors. "dogging" is on the back-up plan list but thanks ;) We're not into expensive hotel weekends/ fine dining/theatre/museum-ie kinda stuff.
