I don't think this has been posted yet.

    the work sand is good?

It's great for cleaning and doing light jobs that don't require large torque or weight application to remove parts as it's just not built for that force. For cleaning, gear or cable change , indexing...etc. It's more than enough.

These (running) make great summer'ish base layers, if they are what I think they are. http://www.lidl.ie/en/Offers.htm?action=showDetail&id=37011
Sort of a spandex T-Shirt compression yoke.

The following, again if they are what I think they are are great "full on" summer base layers.

I've never been a jersey only person.

No the 500 doesn't have Bluetooth. You would need an ant+ strap

Any feedback on the underwear and tubes?

Their selection of the cycle offers has grown impressively over the years I should say.

I've been waiting ages to pick up some new sunglasses in Lidl/Aldi! My last set lasted me a good few years before they eventually broke.

I got the padded undershorts last time. Felt taht the padding was far too rigid / plastic like. Sports Direct ones for 10/15 work a treat

Picked up the stand and a spare floor pump (only 8 quid). Didn't have any jerseys in my size left unfortunately.

I grabbed some electrolyte tablets and I got a pair of their "cycling underwear" to wear under canvas shorts on my commute once the weather gets a bit warmer. If they are comfortable / useful I will grab a few pairs next time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 463 ✭✭com1

I have a trekking saddle (middle one size wise) on my commuter, got it last time out. Bearing in mind saddles are extremely personal It is very comfy for me. I am going to try the mtb/road saddle this time round to see what its like

Missed out on the stand again, bloody raging :)

but picked up a pair of bib shorts, don't think they were originally on the list for this time round, but for €12 im not going to complain, they do a job for short rides.

Loads of stuff left in Leixlip. I countd about 10 workstands.

Picked up a stand at the Pottery Road (Dublin) store yesterday morning. Loads of everything still left then, including 5 or 6 stands. Also noticed they were selling some bright orange cycling shoes that were not on the specials list.

Don't know where you are located, but the Cavan town lidl have about ten stands, and thirty floor pumps left.

Got a stand, was in the Swords store yesterday, still had 7 left.

Delighted, now to "repair" my bike on my own :)

loads of bike stands left in Dundrum LIDL.

I don't know where they have gone but all my fingerless gloves had disappeared, probably taken by one of the two puppies we have introduced in the last 12 months. So was handy to grab a pair of gel padded fingerless gloves from these specials.

Your road bike is most likely 700c, so I'm afraid not.

26in tubes are for standard mountain bike wheels. They will be too small for a road bike wheel.

I'd like to highly recommend the Long sleeve cycling base layer. I have been using them all winter for the non minus degree cycles over this winter and the last one, and the one before that. I think I am using a high neck motor cycling one for the minus degrees stuff.

For Spring/Autumn and when it's cold but not so cold, I use the short sleeve black(+Yellow/Green?) one they have out at the minute. Think it is 5.99.

Then when the weather gets better but it's not very summery, I use that vest type one they have on sale now too.

Never had any issues with any of them. Well worth the money. There are quite a few of them left in the Tallaght village or the Ballycullen Lidl.

Honestly, you can't go wrong with them.

Loads of cycling gear left in Nutgrove/Walkinstown Lidl's yesterday. It looks like they've finally flooded the market. Both had bike stands left in case anyone is looking for one
