    Pilot is out there.

Found pilot alright. Will probably watch it when it airs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 61,272 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

The most fun of the three leaked pilots today.

Total rip off of so many shows from John Doe to Prison Break.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 55,623 ✭✭✭✭Mr E

Shades of The Blacklist too. That was a cracking pilot. Some really creative camera work too (loved the camera on the bomb) - it's really trying to stand out, so you have to give them credit for that.

    Can't wait for more.

Loved that looking forward to more

No her name is Jaimie Alexander she plays Sif in Thor. You must be thinking of Ashley Johnson

Sorry should have said the doctor alright.

Just finished watching. It's got bits of fringe in it. Quite good.

Defo has The Blacklist vibe to it plus John Doe with tats but overall decent pilot

Another season starter tonight. Much like minority report, I see this being an early cancellation.

ive only seen 3 pilots, this minority report and limitless, out of the 3 id say minority report will be cancelled, and id say both this and limitless have equal chances of being renewed, and good equal chances at that,

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 55,623 ✭✭✭✭Mr E

I don't think this will be cancelled - I thought the pilot was very strong. Daft, but strong.

I think people who like The Blacklist will find it easy to get into this (and that's now in season 3).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,541 ✭✭✭duridian

Thought this was very enjoyable. Well definitely continue watching.

first episode was good, but as I was saying elsewhere I don't see how they're going to drag the story out. Surely the tattoos can only be used for so long. I mean not like in season 5 they'll be after a criminal after seeing a tattoo on the inside of her butt cheek who just decided to wait for them to find the tattoo before committing the crime.

And strange seeing Ellie from Last of Us as the scientist

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 61,272 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Prison Break got 4 seasons a movie and a revival series based on tattoo's the leads body.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,865 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

Ah but those tattoos were only relevant for a while. I think examples to compare it to would be Chuck and John Doe where in Chuck
They updated the database in his head
    while in John Doe
It revealed how he was getting the information
    .
So unless they're going to update the tattoos, it would only want to be a gimmick temporarily, with a bigger story revealing itself later

  • Moderators, Entertainment Moderators Posts: 10,407 Mod ✭✭✭✭squonk

I thought it was pretty OK. Again, not sure about the tatts but I'm expectig something broader to open up. I'll stick with it for a while and see where it goes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,865 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

Wonder if they'll do another Prison Break later and
Have her start wearing long sleeve tops and all to cut down on the time it takes to add the tattoos then later have them removed

Maybe it'll be similar to the series Brimstone where every time a tattoo has served its purpose it disappears

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

Bourne Identity meets Prison Break for me. Not that it's necessarily a bad thing.

Saw this plastered all over the NFL coverage on NBC so decided to check it out.

It's stupidly good if that makes sense. It's pretty fast paced which I like and it's certainly an interesting style of direction it's going for.

Enjoyed the ending and I am looking forward to seeing how they progress with the story but I feel the tattoo gimmick could wear pretty thin very fast.

I'll stick by it for now but a pretty entertaining pilot all the same.

This is good. Like the way how she remembers stuff. The last ten seconds of the first episode make you wonder, especially when you remember that you saw him at the
    apartment block

Fast pace and action has continued this week in the second episode. I really like this show so far. It gives you hints and info quite quickly, but also opens up some more questions.

NBC's 'Blindspot' Gets Back-Nine Script Order
NBC is expressing early faith in Blindspot.

After airing just one episode, the network has ordered nine additional back-up scripts for the freshman drama starring Jaimie Alexander, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

The thriller from Warner Bros. Television opened a week ago to 3.1 million viewers among the advertiser-coveted adults 18-49 demographic and 10.6 million viewers, an impressive showing in the coveted post-Voice time slot. The Monday drama, factoring in three days of delayed viewing, grew to a 4.5 in the demo to a 4.5 rating and 15.2 million viewers, topping CBS' second-year entry Scorpion among the latter metric.

While the additional script order doesn't guarantee that Blindspot — from showrunner Martin Gero and exec produced by Greg Berlanti — will earn a back-nine episode order, the series has been the breakout drama for NBC so far this season. The show, co-starring Sullivan Stapleton, is Monday's most-watched drama and top new series after three days of delayed viewing.

NBC have ordered the additional nine episodes to compete a full first season run of 22 episodes.

This is really shaping up to be a good show. There is great tension, suspense and mystery. Likeable characters and good pacing. The shaky cam and extreme close up shooting is a bit annoying but I can live with it when the story is this engaging. Jaimie Alexander plays her part very well, she is equally believable as both an innocent, confused, scared, lost character and as a skilled, merciless, trained operative.

catching up on this and it's watchable for sure, but I'm having a hard time dealing with how convenient new clues get discovered each week and that some are lifted whole sale from book and movies like mission impossible and worse still Dan Brown books, I'm no literary snob but come on pick one of his better books to rip off than inferno :pac:

There are a lot of clichéd parts too like the whole cia vs fbi vs police.

Back last night. Very strong episode, even though
the plane landing was completely ridiculous

This has fallen off a cliff in terms of quality since it's come back as far as I'm concerned. Was it meant to end with the bombshell before the break and then more episodes ordered

Really looks that way to me.

After getting its lowest ratings yet, for its most recent episode, I just read this...

Off sick at the minute and decided to binge watch this to pass the time.

It's not the worst brainless hokum I've ever seen....a lot of the earlier episodes were extremely samey and formulaic (eg. Slightly dowdy boffin comes up with some tenuous and complex link to a tattoo and the team chase off over the bridge in SUVs to diffuse the bomb within the hour)...actually reminds me a lot of 24 just with a different gimmick driving the plot.

Now that I've caught up with the broadcasts I'm not sure if this will stand up to weekly viewing...might let a few build up again before revisiting

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,444 ✭✭✭DMcL1971

I think that the quality of the writing has dropped off massively over the last few episodes. I know it isn't supposed to be 100% realistic but successfully landing a jet airliner from free fall was just ridiculous. Internal high level moles in the FBI. This week the FBI geniuses losing Zapata even though she was wearing a locket that was broadcasting audio of where she was.

The ridiculously drunk camera work that won't hold still even during normal dialogue scenes. The overly complicated plot of who Jane is and what she is really up to. I have stopped caring. It reminds me a lot of the show '24' where everything always has to be life and death, every day and everyone is stressed and stretched to breaking point at all times. I'll stick with it until the end of the season but I might not be coming back to it if there is a second season.

Think I'm done with this , I'd rate this on a par with The Following as a show, but i'd be more interested in a season 4 of that than a season 2 of this at this point, how this got renewed is beyond me. It started off ok despite my misgivings but I can't see anything happing that would make me want to see a season 2

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,444 ✭✭✭DMcL1971

I am so close to stopping watching this. It has really gone downhill over the last 4-5 weeks. I decided that this weeks episode was make or break for me. If this episode wasn't good I was giving up. Well, I quite liked this episode, so I'll stick with it for one more week. I hate the camera work in this show it gives me a headache. I like Jane and Patterson but have no interest in any other characters and the plots are just getting ludicrous.

They should cancel this show and create a spin off of Jane and Patterson as a crime fighting duo. Instead of Jane's tattoos leading to life or death time sensitive massive cases, they should lead them to cold cases where they can right some wrongs and get justice for the innocent. Patterson being the brains that solves all the cases using her intelligence and crazy computer skills while Jane goes out in the field kicking ass.

To be fair, the episode with Patterson and David's "ghost" was pretty good. This week's was ****e though.

Alright I'll agree with that. :) In the spin off Patterson's boyfriend can come too. Though I'm not sure whether he should be alive or stay on as a ghost.

Well that was lucky! A recovering gambling addict picks up a random newspaper sports section and of all the statistics that are probably printed within the paper she notices that 5 game results just happen to match some tiny numbers from within a much larger array of hundreds of numbers from within a hand tattoo on Jane's abdomen. Which gives them the name of a football team.

By pure coincidence Reade happens to be good friends of the coach of that team and they decide to go and visit him and low and behold don't they arrive at the exact moment that a disgraced ex-player who was abused by the same coach decides to kill that coach. But he doesn't just kill him like any regular victim he decides to shoot up the school and plant bombs too for no logical reason.

Wow, the people who created those tattoos must be like mind readers or something!!!

The finale was pretty decent and there is still plenty of mystery for season 2. Hopefully they start to move away from the tattoos. Looks like Orion might be the next set of clues.

Interesting start on season 2; the story still appear to hold plenty of surprises to come and was that
a bloody space rocket in the end
    ?!

I enjoyed the episode as a whole but the conspiracy within a conspiracy within a conspiracy is going be a bit of a headwrecker I think.

No way I'm wasting my time with this , watched it against my better judgement earlier and my gut was right it's like the transition from prison break being 10-12 episodes stretched to a full run being stretched to multiple season all over again.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 61,272 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

    Renewed for a 3rd season.

I must be the only person in Ireland still watching this :D

I think I may have missed a couple of episodes along the way but it doesn't really matter too much - it's total and utter hokum....it's somewhere between a guilty pleasure and hate-watching at this stage.

They're still using the tattoos to drive the story....it's been relegated now to about 30 seconds of crazy exposition by the boffin at the start. She deserves an Emmy for getting through it without crying or laughing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 55,623 ✭✭✭✭Mr E

The latest episode was really good.

Hope they clear the slate a bit before season 3. Get rid of moody Roman for starters. I also hope that Shepherd doesn't make it to season 3.

    Finale this week.

I watch is as a show where I can turn my brain off and enjoy but the main character Jane is real annoying in Season 2, constant pained expression.

I stuck with it I'm not sure why but they actually ended season 2 without a major cliffhanger nearly everything got all wrapped up probably thinking they were getting cancelled.

I'm guessing the last couple of minutes with the jump forward in time was filmed for if/when they got renewed and if it was cancelled it wouldn't have been shown.

Glow in the dark tattoos :)

Now that it's been renewed I bet when it does get cancelled it will end of a cliffhanger.

Bonkers finale. Loved the last scene. :)
