Mix And Mingle looks overpriced at 65 on the exchanges. Has a lot to find on paper but the trainer's runners tend to improve a ton for the run and she progressed again to finish 4th in the Nell Gywn. The ground would have been too soft for her as well so the better ground and step up to a mile should all bring improvement. With so much scope to improve from her last run and I can't let her go unbacked at the prices.

Not sure on Minding because she seems a lazy filly at home and they might not be able to get her in tip top shape first time out. She'll probably be fine on the ground but will be seen to best effect with a bit of cut in the ground. Alice Springs looks the overpriced Coolmore runner at 20 on the machine as she was able to get pretty close to her stablemates last season and has yet to have the opportunity to run over a mile on quick ground. Her Leopardstown run is best forgiven as she was just out for the spin on ground far too heavy.

Captain Bob is also a big price in the 3.00 race. Would have gone close off 87 at Haydock last season if he got a clear run and two runs on ground too soft this year have allowed him to drop to a mark of 81. He shaped well enough on his last start as well travelling well enough but tired once he got some daylight in testing conditions. Should be able to get involved off a mark of 81 on summer ground. 18/1 on Betfair.

My pick in the 1000 Guineas is Midweek. I haven't bet yet as the price has dropped to 16.5.
    Took €100 at 15s.

Lumiere has drifted to the point I have to have an ew bet. Wouldn't be too confident about anything winning

Impressive from Minding there. Ballydoyle ran well having been outpaced early, could be one for the Oaks.

One for the tracker, caught my eye as a no jigger today.

I did not have on bet on this race but I had hoped Midweek would have ran better than she did. Was intending to back her but for the jockey and his lack of experienc at Newmarket. She clearly was not the Juddmonte first choice with Antone orginally (but she blew it in that Group 1 last year - injury and ran no race on appearance) Midweek ran well for the 7f in France a few weeks ago, it suggested that she needed further. She has pedigree to run further

I kinda wished that they put another jockey on her today. (I know he has done brilliantly since coming to the flats and is a French Derby winner - great ride on New Bay) I know she is a bit big, I know she probably does not have the class for a big 8 f race but the French tactics (slow at start and sprint - which this horse does not has a turn of foot, yet) did not work. Just wished that he gave her a bit of a quicker start and use her stamina

Sam Missile big e/w shout in Newm 5.25, wasn't exactly spot on for his debut but won easy and they think he'll have improved plenty and is a 90+ rated animal, lookms a potentially decent field but he's well liked.

No use, 5th of 8 and green as grass, will come on for it but will have to to match lofty ambitions. :o

Minding for the Derby, I wanna see a filly win the Derby in my lifetime!

Ladbrokes which have been associated with Ballydoyle for sometime with Mike Dillon quote Minding at 5/2 for Derby. It seems based on that and the running of Air Force Blue that Ballydoyle have no colts of any worthwhile ability this season.A lot of hope will rest with US Army Ranger at Chester but the cupboard looks very bare.At this stage 5/1 Midterm is a serious player big time.On breeding the distance is perfect and his run at Sandown was a serious piece of work.If US Army Ranger struggles then 5/1 Midterm will be just a memory.

Wonder how strong that link is since the sale to Coral? They had mindling 11/4 3 weeks before the Guineas when the rest of the firms were 2/1 & 7/4.

Doesn't JP McManus and The Kaizer have stakes in Ladbrookes? Normally when you see JP , Magnier is not far behind?
